Given the chance to pick your poison sounds pretty much like a mandate to me.

1971 Postal Reorganization Act changed the way the USPS was funded among other things. It became a quazi-autonomous agency that was fee funded rather than taxpayer funded. I believe this is also when USPS employee's began to be treated slightly differently than other Federal employees, which prevents the president's EO mandating vaccines for federal workers from affecting USPS employees.

The vaccinated can catch and spread Covid. Simple fact.

But really, if they don't end up in hospital, what is the need for the numbers? And how would they get them? How would the CDC track breakthrough cases if people aren't going to doctors or hospitals or getting tested?

As the article stated, it was an oversight. A big one, if you ask me - but it has been rectified.

They go to a doctor or the hospital but are sent home until they are very sick, just like they treated everyone that caught Covid. By the time they come back it’s often dire.

Nothing shows lack of thought like a random number. If you are successful and created 100+ jobs, your reward is government deciding your policy!

It's blatant federal government overreach, and the dems actually called Trump a dictator but are defending this. It's mind boggling. I don't see this being enforced, hopefully Biden will be shut down.

Your claim presumes that those who do not take the vaccine are being irresponsible.

The Biden Administration seems to believe if 100% of the population got the vaccine the virus would immediately go away.

That simplistic view is simply not supported by the facts or reason.

Well I suppose misinformed is more common than being truly irresponsible as the root cause. Being misinformed is unfortunately being on the wrong side politically these days; people don't think for themselves nor do they trust legit authorities. But how else would republicans exist if not for misinformation...

It's just so funny that for four years the left claimed Trump wanted to be a dictator and yet we have Biden being dictator in chief.

If people don't want to get the vaccine, then that's their problem isn't it?

If vaccines work (they don't) then why would you care?

NO, IT IS NOT. Unvaccinated people use up resources which are desperately needed by breakthrough infections who generally need just a day or less of palliative care, while most unvaccinated people need 30 days or more of IC until they die and thus overwhelm our hospitals. If we would simply tell unvaccinated people we couldn't take care of them it wouldn't be a problem but until we have to do that, (and we will have to eventually) unvaccinated people will continue to selfishly and unnecessarily use up far more resources than they should and this is during a pandemic and for no real reason. Additionally, the unvaccinated are much larger reservoirs of infection and much more likely to cause and harbor additional mutations, any one of which might easily prove resistant to the vaccine and thus kill us all.

I'm a freedom loving as the next guy, but survival generally trumps it. People do die in DEFENSE of freedom that's true but that's generally in order to do something we'd actually want to, not just to be free to do something for no reason. We don't **** in the streets even though it might be nice to be able to sometimes because the stench would be unbearable and we'd all die of cholera.

What is WRONG with anti Vaxxers and with us? Why are we tolerating people who basically want to **** in the streets and threaten all our lives by doing so.

My sister had one shot and my brother had two and both of them now have Covid.
What resources are the unvaccinated using up from the breakthroughs? If they are sick for a couple of days the only healthcare facilities they use would be their family Dr and a pharmacy. If they need hospitalization and breathing apparatus then their friggin vaccine didn't work. This is what is so crazy about this argument, if masks and shots work then the endangered families that all the non vaxers are trying to infect and kill should be pretty safe.

I have had both shots and will most likely get the booster when it's available but I'm beginning to wonder about the shots effectiveness. My sister had one shot and has Covid, my brother has had both shots and he also has Covid. They share a home but still they tried to follow medical advice.
My wife's family has lost two that I know of, the wife of one of my coworkers passed away a couple of weeks ago, a man who I did business with for years died from Covid in the onset of the pandemic. This **** is bad enough without turning on each other based on what we hear from the most dishonest politicians and medical advisors I have ever seen. There ae some truths and a lot of lies out there and we have to sift them ourselves and find what we personally believe and trust and nobody in or out of government has the right to force their decision on everyone. We can't let this cause suspicion and hatred of those who follow different advice than we accept as true to further divide this country.

What is wrong is that they don't believe the government about the vaccine. You can hardly blame them given that the government also insists that men can give birth.

I work for a company that employs more than 100,000 people, but many of us work from home. It will be interesting to see them try to enforce this.
