“Opinions” change when the evidence makes them change. You act like everything should a “known” on day one, and that as the sample size changes, the evidence will stay the same. That not how science works. You keep making it about politics and not the science.

 

The whole world knows Fauci's primary focus is on keeping himself in the limelight, not keeping up with the "science". Cuomo got an Emmy and a big book deal. Fauci wants to cash in too. Of the 2 grifters, Fauci's more deserving. He actually WAS helping calm fears, and raising public awareness at 1st ... plus he didn't kill a bunch of nursing home residents like Cuomo.

 

So the guy who’s been in office since Reagan, and nobody knew who he was until last year, is somehow all about publicity ?

Look it up. The only group that has steadfast opinions even in light of new evidence are hyper partisans or are too imbecilic to understand what Dunning Kruger is.

 

Pretty sure Fauci's pension dwarfs in comparison to Cuomo's book deal. Saint Fauci wants to retire as comfortably as he possibly can, just like everybody else. Besides being a mouthpiece, what else is he doing yhat makes him remotely indispensable? Literally anyone can parrot the CDC or MIT ...

 

All due respect, but this post shows that you dont even know what Fauci does. It also shows that you dont understand what and how basic medicine works. Fauci himself cannot run every study, he directs how the study’s are conducted based on HIS expertise. Every “disease” like this works differently, and the studies are required to help us better understand that, how they spread, and how they mutate to new strains. Hell, did you know there were 371 cases of the measles last year because the disease mutates and the vaccine needs to be updated regularly ? Do you know how we know that ? because we do tests/studies every year........in other words, we learn more every year about a disease that we have known about and studied for 50 years.......

 

It was a compromise. Obviously you can't eat with a mask on. And businesses were screaming to be open including restaurants who wanted to have in-house customers. But mask wearing was and still is important so middle ground was established. However, I'll agree that it's silly to wear a mask to and from your table but not at your table when you're still in the same enclosed area.
