...Biden is a longtime advocate of gun control including increased background checks and banning assault-style weapons. Like many liberals, Biden defines assault weapons as guns that look scary. Biden supports repealing gun manufacturers’ protections against civil liability. He also backs executive actions for funneling funds to states and cities to battle gun violence.

In his remarks, Biden quickly pivoted to infrastructure to avoid discussing gun control further. He knows that he lacks the votes in the Senate to pass gun control laws. As Sen. Biden, he helped pass President Bill Clinton’s 1994 assault weapons ban. The 1994 midterms backlash ended 40 years of Democrat control over the House of Representatives in one of the biggest historical Republican victories. Gun owners have consistently offered the words, ''over my cold dead Constitution.''

The assault weapons ban failed to reduce crime. Democrats allowed it to expire in 2004....

Defenders of our 2A rights must never give up. We must remember former NRA President Charlton Heston’s famous words 20 or so years ago at an NRA event to the VP Gore running for President. “Out of our cold dead hands!, Mr.Gore. We must be vigilant in defense of our rights.

We must use every tool at our disposal to protect our constitution and its 2nd amendment which is applied to the states. This must be an all out battle where we never ask for quarter and fight it in the senate, at the Supreme Court, and at every state level. 2A Sanctuary states and counties within blue states is a fall back measure if all else fails.

I voted option C, but it seems to me option D is just one part of option C. Though, I have to agree with (whomever first said it, maybe George Washington??)- 'When its time to bury your guns, its already time to dig them back up.'

The best thing we can do is elect local representation that is willing to stand up with us in opposition and resistance to state and federal overreach, not just on guns, but on all civil rights that the authoritarian bureaucrats seek to 'control.' States like mine that still define the locally elected Sheriff as the 'Chief Law Enforcement Official' within their jurisdiction have a strong legal precedent behind them, but even areas that no longer (or never did) have that precedent will still pose a significant obstacle to authoritarianism with local officials and local LE refusing to allow the rights of their constituents to be violated by outside agencies. We've already seen just how effective 'Sanctuary Cities' are. Strong local unity and leadership in defiance of centralized authority works, but only if we actually do it.

Great reply. I completely agree. I chose c as well but have no objection to d either. I agree with whom you were quoting about it being time to dig weapons back up when we seek to bury them. I also agree about local 2A sanctuary areas and officials. The bottom line is we need to communicate to the grabbers that we won’t willingly comply and that the bottom line is that they will have to choose between letting us keep our weapons unmolested or resort to China style tanks in the streets republic ending occupation to overcome our passive peaceful resistance/ non violent civil disobedience to take them if they can. There will be no middle ground.

One very large mistake is to ever compromise with the left on gun control using the word compromise implies that you will get something in return such is not the case they never offer anything in return but eroded rights that you will never get back
