One of our resident Birthers said recently: All I know about Obama with any degree of certainty is that he's a typical black person... I said at the time that I believe that is exactly how all Birthers start on the road to Birtherism. Think about that statement. First of all- by any objective standard, Barack Obama is not a typical person or a typical black person. He is only one of 44 persons ever elected President of the United States- and the first person of color to receive the majority vote for the Presidential race. He is a best selling author and as a result of his book sales, a millionaire. He has a law degree from the most prestigious law school in the U.S. He is still married to his original wife, and still parenting his two children. So like I said- not a typical person, not a 'typical black person'. But in the eyes of Birthers he is. So what is a 'typical black person' in the eyes of Birthers? 'Obama is very special in this regard, what's with being the first affirmative action black president' 'Yet, the Shyster-in-Chief is undoubtedly a fraud' "he's a corrupt manchurian poser... " " dirtbags like obama... " "i think he's just corrupt and scandal proned" Remember- to a Birther- Obama is just a 'typical black person' So the Birther started with the mindstate:A typical black person can only accomplish something because of affirmative action- so no black person could legitimately have been elected. The Birther started with the mindstate that a typical black person is corrupt and a fraud. The rest of the Birther delusions were all generated that one simple mind-set. Remember that when they make their claims- what they really think is that: "he's a typical black person"
If you want to get technical, he's a typical jerkoff unfit for his job. But to your long-winded misguided angst, the post in question was undoubtedly satirizing President Ass hisownself. http://www.usnews.com/news/blogs/ne...l-white-person-comment-delights-clinton-aides You're welcome.
But of course he's a typical black person, and a racist too - you just could not leave my post without comment, JEFF, could you? Here, let me repeat it - Obama is a typical black person, and he's also a racist. After all, if he can call his grandmother a "typical white person", in the land of equality we can certainly call him a typical black person, right? I could have posted more, but the thought of upcoming 5-hour long scenic drive from Bishkek to Issyk-Kul pacifies me even toward Obamabots...
Every once in a while Birthers just can't keep up the facade. It must be exhausting to put so much energy into pretending to be something they are not.
Do explain why is it OK for black to call someone a "typical white person", and is not OK for white to call someone a "typical black person"?
Crap as always, JEFF - you do not explain whatever it is you've found in my post that explains something. Your post is simply trolling
I notice that you don't deny anything that I pointed out. That you look at President Obama and all you know about him is that he is a 'typical black person'- even though by any objective standard he is neither a typical person nor a typical black person. But that is all you know about him. And then I point out that you consider him- a typical black person- to be a product of affirmative action. You know- like a typical black person. And that you consider him- as you identify him- a typical black person- to be a fraud. I was just connecting the dots that you and other Birthers have posted to give my theory as to how Birthers came to be Birthers. And I am comfortable saying that there is as much or more substance to my claim as there is to any Birther claim about Obama. If that is trolling, then basically every Birther thread is trolling.
crap, crap and more typical proud liberal crap, all hidden within a wall of text mixed with a good doze of manure. What's good for Obama should be good for all of us, therefore if you want to talk substance tell me why is it OK for Obama to call somebody a typical white person, and not for me to call him the same. Or, you can do like Wong did and put your head where less composed people by now will tell you to put it, JEFF
Oh? you do not believe Obama called his grandma a typical white person? You Obamabots are just too much... wanna link?
No, I did not say I didn't believe that Obama said that about his grandmother. I said I didn't believe it was OK.
Another example of your fine debating tactics. "I don't like what you are saying so its all crap". I was speaking of what you said- not of what Obama said. If you want to have that debate seperately, fine. But I will reiterate what you said- that all you know for sure about Obama is that he is a typical black person. And that you consider Obama- a typical black person as you see him- to be a fraud. And that you consider Obama- a typical black person as you see him- to be a product of affirmative action. And in my opinion you are just expressing exactly the thought process that Birthers start from. I must remember your wonderful retort though....from now on I think rather than using facts and logic to point out your fallacies, I will just call it all crap, crap, jingoistic crap.
While my "debating tactics" are not exactly honed during a month long trip to the places most of you did not know exist, yours are predictable to the point of being boring... look what has happened - I made a remark about Obama being a typical black person with obvious reference to his own words, and you Obamabots jumped right in... or, maybe, you did not know I was referencing Obama's attack on his own white grandma?
Apples and pears. The statement "typical (color) person" is in and of itself not an offensive statement. Offensiveness is determined by what is intended by the reference.
"long trip to the places most of you did not know exist' I think Sarah Palin calls statements like that 'elitism' but heck good for you for travelling to some obscure places in the world. Frankly, though when I travel to obscure places, I tend not to be bothered with posting here. If you want to reject or retract any of the statements you made, feel free to do so. I was merely quoting you and connecting the dots.
And who is to determine "offensiveness" and the intent? You? Me? Fine. I gave the matter some additional thought and have determined Obama calling his grandma a "typical white person" was indeed an offensive statement, intended to carry with it a racial overtones.
While you may be correct to some degree in that I tend to show off now and then, sorry for not having time to decipher the rest of your post - off to cross into a mainland China from Kyrgyzstan, by horseback
