How about 16 months! Oh and 4 years probation after. 16 months! The pos was also required to register as a sex offender for 10 years. Something he did not do. So you are the judge to determine the sentence for not registering as a sex offender. You were not the judge who gave him the incredibly light 16 month sentence but you can give him an extra 2 years for not registering the recommendation of the prosecution. That judge was Ketanji Brown Jackson and she gave half what was requested including time already served. She would also be the judge when that rapist came before her for parole violations in 2017 and again she gave a sentence much lighter than the prosecutors asked for. While Weeks was out in 2015 he raped his sister in law who for whatever reason refused to cooperate with authorities so he was not even charged. Black girls don't matter but black men who rape do?

Now that she's going to the Supreme Court she can never do this again. However I can envision a situation that should horrify everyone. Suppose someday a state writes a law decreasing the minimum age for consensual sex, maybe to 10. Meanwhile another state writes a law increasing the minimum age. They reach the Supreme Court the same year and the court-for convenience as with Roe versus Wade-considers them together. Someone gets to write a decision defining at what age the state and federal government has an interest in protecting minors. How do you think she might write the decision?
