Black parents shocked when son was born white

I thought the black gene is dominant. That someday we'll all be black because mixed races produces more blacks not whites. Maybe he's the second coming?

There is no "black gene" but skin, hair and eye color both have both dominant and recessive genes. Research hemophilia and color blindness to see better examples.

 

That would definitely be a jaw-dropper to the father.....lol.

A couple yrs ago I read about a black couple who had twins - 1 was black and the other was white.......

 

Sigh.......there is so much wrong with this post- starting with the science education....

Forget what you learnt in school, many traits are rarely controlled by just 1 combination of genes. Most traits are controlled by multiple genes and each gene usually contributes to multiple traits.
