As a proper prepper/anti-establishment/'paranoid'/'domestic terrorist(lol)', I ordered some body armor back when this virus was still a conspiracy theory. Lead time was 6 weeks. I called them today to enquire the status of my order, and it is another 6 weeks out, due to 'massive increase in recent orders.' The guy went on to say they're still filling orders from mid December.

It would make sense that a lot of folks like me would have finally dropped the sizeable investment for professional ballistic armor when the news of this virus hit the 'rw conspiracy alt media', thus creating a massive delay in order fulfillment. But there was no coronavirus on anyones radar in mid-December.

    Or was there?

The company I'm (hopefully?) getting my armor from primarily supplies military, LE and govt contractors. Which begs the question: did the govt and affiliated agencies order a bunch more ballistic armor just prior to this outbreak?

    The implications should be obvious.

In my cynical view, this covid affair was as well known prior (in general terms) as the events of 911 were known prior (in general terms).

Some people knew some event was on the horizon, and sold stock or bought body armor.
