Boulder County, Colorado, investigators narrow Marshall fire’s origin to single neighborhood.

Quick background... a horrible wildfire pushed by winds that were clocked at over 100 mph last Thursday, Dec. 30th quickly caused the destruction of 991 homes in neighborhoods located between Denver and Boulder, Colorado. Nearly another 200 homes have been damaged, and several stores have burned also.

All of this is against the backdrop of a terrible drought that has gripped many parts of Colorado, off and on, for over twenty years -- but which has been especially acute for the last year. And, to add to the misery, for the the last month or so, we've also suffered from unnaturally strong winds surprisingly often, and very little or no snow at all, except for way up in the Rocky Mountains themselves, dozens of miles west of the heavily populated "Front Range" area from about Colorado Springs up through Denver.

Now everybody is trying to figure out what caused this -- the worst wildfire in Colorado's entire history. And here is the latest story out on this, which has not (NOT) been confirmed, yet:

It's Monday now, and nothing new. The FBI field agents are all over this thing and they probably already know everything there is to know, but now they have to get the approval of the heads of the various affected federal bureaucracies before they release anything to the public. Everybody with a private government office in D. C. has been 'off' for the past two weeks during the holidays, and they'll need to be brought up to 'speed' (if such a description applies to anyone in the higher levels of the federal government)....

    Overwhelming interest noted....

But, I'll bet if a 1,000 houses burned to the fugging ground in 'the Hamptons', or Chevy Chase, Md., somebody would at least notice....
