And the Middle East lacks many of the freedoms that we have in the West. I would not want to trade freedom because some can't keep their eyes on the road.
Who cares? This is my whole point. Just because you do not like something does it mean that we all have to have the same view. You just practiced your freedom of speech, I am practicing my right to disagree, and women still have the right to wear or not wear a bra despite what you or I think.
I don't care about women wearing bras. The thought never crossed my mind, actually. I didn't know it was an issue. I'm just saying that saggy boobs swinging back and forth are gross, not poetry in motion...lol!

Chicks running around in their little summer dresses/short shorts on summer days is a HUGE safety issue. In Boston there are like 3 colleges per block and 20 18-25 year old women on every corner. I've long since mastered driving with my peripheral vision so that I can focus more on that nice pair of legs in the polk o dot dress; which is much more important than manuevering my 1500lb car safetly.
I believe that a woman should be free to go without a bra, if that is her desire. Now, whether she will be viewed as a free-spirit, independent woman, or a slattern is all in the manner of presentation I guess. A few years ago, I was traveling cross-country on a business trip. I turned in my rental car at Phoenix’s Sky Harbor Airport, and hustled my way toward check-in. I made it to the Security Screening area nice and early, but was dismayed at the lengthy line of people standing in the queue for screening. I dutifully got in line, and shuffled forward slowly, along with hundreds of other guys and gals. The security people had arrange the pylon barriers in a serpentine fashion, so you ended up passing the same passengers over and over again as everyone moved forward in line. There was a woman ahead of me in line, and it was hard not to take notice. She was dragging her carry-on bag, and had two bored kids in tow. She nattered endlessly on her cell phone (talking to some girlfriend no doubt), and her voice was overly loud. The woman was braless, wore a fairly-sheer, loosely-gathered blouse, and her un-tethered breasts were very much on display. I shuffled along in line, and my mind wandered off to some distant place. Each time I passed the braless woman, my eyes were quite naturally drawn to gape at her breasts. They were large and magnificent, and swayed quite naturally with her every movement. She continued with the non-stop yakkity-yak on the cell phone, and her voice was loud and mildly irritating. All of us steadily moved forward in line, back and forth and ever onward. We all nodded politely at each other as we passed again and again. And every time around the bend, my eyes were drawn to the wonderfully-swaying breasts that were owned by the cell phone lady. Finally at one point, the lady stopped suddenly in her phone conversation and shouted directly at me. “What are you STARING AT, you perv???” I froze and stood red-faced and mute. I was embarrassed, and totally at a loss for words. The crowd of passengers all turned and stared, horrified. The lady bleated, “I said, what do you think you are staring at??” Unexpectedly, a fellow directly behind me answered. “He’s staring at your TITS, because you are out in public dressed just like a WHORE!!” The long line of passengers burst out in a chorus of laughter, and the cell phone lady gathered her kids and her breasts, and moved forward in a huff. As we all dispersed forward and set our carry on bags and backpacks onto the security screening conveyor belt, I turned and thanked my savior. “Man, I appreciate you speaking up like that. I was totally caught flat-footed and speechless.” “Hey, any time. Glad to be of service. Those were nice tits, by the way. I was staring too.” “What man wouldn’t? Ha ha ha!” “Ha ha ha ha ha!!”
I was bisexual long before that experience (which gave me twice the scenery ;P), but I'm curious why you (correct me if I'm wrong) seem to have such an issue with taking pride in the bodies the gods gave us.
Your story made some good points. My wife is busty and never wears a bra. I see men old and young checking her our almost every time we to go to a public place. Some look at her with disdain, but most have a look of surprise which quickly turns to a look of satisfaction. Now I nor my wife are ignorant of the fact, that if the boobs are on display, most men will look or at least take a glance. So neither her or I have a problem with that. My wife would never challenge a person like the woman in the line at the airport. But on the other hand I would never tell a woman that she looks like a whore. My wife does not care what other men think of her, and often she is oblivious to the wondering eyes of other men... she only cares to be pleasing to my eyes. Now things were different when she was single and on the prowl... her radar caught every man's gaze... but still she would never act as the woman in the airport. Even for me, when I was single I had an uncanny ability to sense when a beautiful woman was bending over in public. Now that I am married to a wonderful and beautiful woman I only have eyes for her. Not that I do not look at people in general when out in public, but I certainly do not gawk or stare... to do so would just be disrespectful to my wife. Anyway if I am walking with my wife my eyes are often on her... I am surprised that I have not banged a knee up on a fire hydrant or walked into a pole! It is a mystery to me as to what the woman in your story was thinking, or why she was offended than if her boobs are on display most men will look.
I'm not sure why she was offended. Perhaps I had a faraway look on my face that reminded her of somebody who had wronged her. My suspicion is that she enjoyed confrontation, and loved the attention that causing a scene would no doubt cause. By the way, I did not think she looked like a whore. She looked like a woman free of the bondage of latex and polyester. Too bad she was bound by that cell phone glued to her ear. It seemed to have some sort of unholy grip on her.
This is a very disturbing thread, but it's a subject that's been on my mind since childhood. Women used to burn bras and girdles to protest something. Girdles soon became hard to find but bras got more popular. What psychology was involved in those two opposite results? Braless women are rare where I live. I think it's been about 15 years since I've seen one in public. When I met my wife one of the early things that interested me was that it was hard to tell if she was wearing a bra or not because her tops were made of thick fabric that didn't give it away. That type of top needs to become more popular so there will be mystery.
Well unless you want to spend a lot of the day doing exercises, If you are a moderately well endowed female and you go braless more than occassionally your husband will be able to manipulate breasts and vagina with one hand by the time your fifty. Why? Woman's Liberation seeking equal rights. If a man does not have to wear a bra than neither does a woman. It was a fight for equality. And to be honest, I am not sure how effective it really was. I support equal rights... but that is for perhaps another thread. Not sure... perhaps a change in fashion which is constantly trending. In Boise Idaho it is fairly common at public parks and down by the Boise River on a warm sunny day... which Boise has lots of. That's cool. I too dated a woman a few winters ago who wore a sweater and an open light jacket a lot. And I was very surprised by how busty she actually was. So the whole mystery thing can be fun. But IMO so can seeing the goods first. Sexy is subjective and completely open to interpretation. Just because I find something sexy does not mean that everyone has to agree with me. To each their own I say.
I am blessed to be married to a woman with small, perfect breasts. They look the same at age 54 as they did when we first started dating (she was 39 at the time). It is an unfortunate maxim, and garyd probably said it best, just a few posts ago. If a young woman with nice big 38C boobies runs around without a bra too often, later on her boobies can best be described as 32 Longs.
Most older women should wear bras so they don't have a big letdown! True of some of the younger ones also.
Well like everything it depends on the setting ,but it ultimately comes down to freedom of choice for that particular female. I like to go commando sometimes and I wouldn't want someone telling me you should never do it. For a young lady I would recommend a bra for the more formal events and when around family and small children. Now when it is in an adult setting such as a nightclub or bar then I would say do what you want. Wet t-shirt contest definitely bra-less. Bottom line my vote is other and I would say I am pro choice on this issue lol...
Why not? Isn't that's sexist? I come from a state where a woman can't be forbidden from walking around topless anywhere where a man is allowed to walk around without a shirt on. Seems pretty logical and consistent to me.
