Sorry, guys and gals, but we just can't keep up with this. It's essentially taken over 2 forums, and we can't keep up with the insults. We're creating a new forum for the Zimmerman discussions, which by pure coincidence will be called "Zimmerman." Everything related to the Zimmerman-Martin case needs to be posted in there. In a few days, we'll merge the forum back into Current Events, and the threads will re-order themselves and be archived in Current Events.
Here is the secret. You put the warning on the thread and you stop trying to keep up with the insults.
Nice. I would love to talk about something that matters. Martin/Zimmerman do not. Civil rights issues? Sure. Zimmerman only serves to show injustice on the side of a lynch mob made primarily of the black community, and a ridiculous percentage of the black community as a whole. This wasn't the Rodney King beating by racist cops. The LA Riots weren't about Rodney King... Rodney King represented, legitimately, a systemic problem in the justice system. "But if you look at the streets it wasn't about Rodney King, It's bout this (*)(*)(*)(*)ed up situation and these (*)(*)(*)(*)ed up police." - Sublime I am blathering on in a mod alert thread. Sorry.
The biggest non issue in mankind not only gets massive attention nationwide, it's getting it's on sub forum here. Humanity is sad.
And? The purpose of this forum is to get debate and readership. There is a large faction on this forum who would be perfectly happy with their own littke echo chamber with no debate that no one read. Sadly a lot of mods fall into this faction.
LOL!!! No kidding. But, it's useful because Zimmerman is going to sue all kinds of slimy media and gov't officials. This will go on for months.
So, if they know that the system is racist against them - what is there ultimate plan - get the white people to fix the system? Why can't black people generate a just social system, and show us how it is done???
If you want to solve social problems - it does not happen at Internet forums. I know it seems like it would be a logical place for something like that, but brilliant people, such as yourself, have not figured out a way to determine right from wrong and then get people to exercise the determined right from wrong. Need states rights.
Why does the nation not know about this kid? What's the difference? http://www.abcnews4.com/story/18829994/he-was-a http://www.abcnews4.com/category/243360/marley-lion
Mods or Winter Bear: Please do not merge the threads back. There is no telling how long the Zimmerman ruling and future legal issues will go on for...
Very true. The Zimmerman case was a good example of this as even members here didn't really argue for justice they argued for payback.
Yes I don't come to this forum to not have any conflict. I come to this forum for conflict. I'm simply looking to refine my arguments and enhance my rhetorical skill. I want to be challenged harder and more so than would happen IRL so I'm that much more capable in IRL arguments. Sadly that isn't the opinion of many on this forum and even much if not the majority our moderation.
http://cnsnews.com/news/article/four-children-gunned-down-chicago-during-zimmerman-trial Wheres the outrage?
Thank you again I am looking today and it is so nice to be able to screen out the Zimmerman threads. Is there a way to put that entire topic on ignore? That would even be better.
Could be an advanced way of screening out morons - anyone who posts in that subsection regularly probably qualifies. -.-
You'd think this would be placed as a sub-forum in the Civil Rights or Other Political Issues forums. Giving this its own forum within the General Political Chat section, along with a separate Trayvon Riots sub-forum within Current Events looks kind of embarrassing.
