The drug gangs aren't just in Mexico, they're in Brazil too. Look how blatant and out in the open it is. The new president Bolsonaro (the one the American media has derided as a right wing fascist) is going to take them on. Guess the problem is so big it was easier for previous governments to just look the other way.
