* BREAKING - 3 Reported Dead At Two Jewish Centers In Overland Park

Police in Overland Park, Kan., responded to two shootings Sunday at two separate Jewish centers, according to local news outlets.

One shooting was reported around 1 p.m. at the Jewish Community Center in Overland Park. The second shooting was reported at Village Shalom, a Jewish assisted-living center.

Reports say that both the Jewish Community Center campus and Village Shalom have been placed on lockdown.

Update, 4:31 p.m. -- Overland Park officials told the Associated Press that three people were shot and killed Sunday. Fire Department spokesman Jason Rhodes told the news outlet that one person of interest is in custody. Rhodes did not specify where the shootings took place. The Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City posted on its Facebook page that a shooting incident had taken place there.

My take - the insanity continues. While I have no problems with individuals owning handguns for protection, we need to cut down on this insane, meaningless, violence. Better mental health screenings, more intelligent gun control, and a change in our mindset of how we fix issues as individuals !

Why stop, ever? If it is a good time to post about it when nobody is dying then it is equally a good time to post about it when people are dropping like flies because some kid has been running through the hallways of his school slicing people up with . . . knives.

Ooops! Well now we have seen pressure cookers used as mass kill and maiming devices and guns, of course, and recently we have added knives to the list and so it will be interesting to see what is used next. Perhaps one should consider that this has something to do with leftwingers doing their very best over the course of decades to eliminate all meaningful value structures and substitute the Cult of Self-Esteem instead. I will say however that a few years ago leftwingers across this nation did their very best to link gun violence exclusively to rightwing philosophy when a certain madman cut loose and gunned down a parking lot area full of people in Arizona -- though ALL that leftwingers seemed to care about concerning the victims was one lone legislature belonging to their party -- until . . . ooooops! . . . it turned out that the madman was actually pretty much a leftwinger.

Then they cranked up to try it again the very next time it happened somewhere else . . . until again it turned out that it was an off the rails leftwinger again or perhaps that was the Nidal and Fort Hood massacre. But of course they could not possibly point the finger of blame at a mentally confused and tormented U.S. citizen religious Muslim of middle-eastern descent. Anyway after those events they ceased trying to tie massacres to political affiliations or ideology and decided that instead it was exclusively about gun ownership -- but most certainly NOT about mentally deranged people . . . because leftwingers are supposed to excuse the mentally deranged everything -- er -- unless they happen to have voted Republican at some time in the past, that is.

Pssssst . . . but people are expected to forget all about what they originally tried to do with the murder issues just a few years ago.
