Fake News is fixated on the Fake Bombs, but hardly a peep about the very real Anthrax that was mailed to Trump Administration officials.

We've had enough of the media whipping up violence.

Rep. Scalise: The NY Times’ Trump-assassination story is ‘irresponsible and offensive’

Rep. Scalise: The NY Times’ Trump-Assassination Story Is ‘Irresponsible And Offensive’

Scalise narrowly survived a mass assassination attempt. The shooter asked if this was the Republican baseball team and then opened fire.

Wednesday the NY Times published “How it ends” by author Zoë Sharp:

The Russian waited until they were a few steps past before he drew the gun. He sighted on the center of the president’s back, and squeezed the trigger.

    The Makarov misfired.

The Secret Service agent at the president’s shoulder heard the click, spun into a crouch. He registered the scene instantly, drawing his own weapon with razor-edge reflexes.

The Russian tasted failure. He closed his eyes and waited to pay the cost.

    It did not come.

He opened his eyes. The Secret Service agent stood before him, presenting his Glock, butt first.

“Here,” the agent said politely. “Use mine. …”

The Daily Caller asked Rep. Steve Scalise, who was nearly killed last summer by a deranged gunman, what he thought about the story. Scalise called it, “irresponsible and offensive.”

“The media needs to take accountability for the role they are playing in promoting dangerous rhetoric and division in this country, particularly against President Trump and his supporters,” Scalise said in a statement to TheDCNF. “The decision by The New York Times to run this piece is irresponsible and offensive, and they should remove it and apologize.”

Just curious........does anyone know what happened to the ‘courier’ that supposedly delivered the CNN package after most everyone noticed that the package didn’t have post marks........did he disappear into thin air? Did the surveillance tapes get erased?

I'm glad we're finally having a long-overdue debate on the issue of which party base has the highest concentration of conspiracy-deranged bloodthirsty psychopaths

    MAGAbomber sounds pretty reasonable.

In comparison to some of the rhetoric I've seen written here by other itchy-fingered mental vacationers.

It wasn't the NYT's story. It was a short story written by one of 5 thriller authors the Times published.

The latest is the packages were sent by mail. Yeah, I'm as confused as you on this. No postal markings on the packages MSM showed.

Ok, so I may have been wrong about an actual phone tap, but you don't think what was done was bad enough? Or was it all good because Obama administration did it?

So, I just did this for myself and it says I'm registered Democrat. It's total crap. I registered myself as Republican so I could vote for Rand Paul in the R primary and I've never changed it, as I've not voted in a primary since then.

    Yes, they published it.

Rep. Scalise: The NY Times’ Trump-assassination story is ‘irresponsible and offensive’

“The media needs to take accountability for the role they are playing in promoting dangerous rhetoric and division…”

“Use mine. …”

Now the Fake News NYT is going to lecture us on tone and rhetorical responsibility when they are publishing Trump assasination porn?

The Daily Caller asked Rep. Steve Scalise, who was nearly killed last summer by a deranged gunman, what he thought about the story. Scalise called it, “irresponsible and offensive.”

“The media needs to take accountability for the role they are playing in promoting dangerous rhetoric and division in this country, particularly against President Trump and his supporters,” Scalise said in a statement to TheDCNF. “The decision by The New York Times to run this piece is irresponsible and offensive, and they should remove it and apologize.”

The author has the right to write assassination stories if she wants and the Times has the right to publish them. The Irresponsible, Divisive Fake News Media is playing a game here. On the one hand, the media pretends shock that President Trump refuses to take responsibility for his rhetoric and, at least implicitly, for the actions of a bomber who was clearly a fan of his. On the other hand, they want to publish assassination porn for their left-wing audience and argue it’s just entertainment which no one could mistake for an endorsement of real violence.

Either there are crazy people out there whose deranged responses we need to worry about or people should speak freely without couching everything for the sake of the fringe. I tend to think the latter is a better approach but a lot of the media seems to disagree this week. At least they disagree when it comes to Trump.

That’s the irony here. Scalise is saying to the NY Times what a lot of people on the left are saying to Trump this week and the Times’ response is to brush it off as “bad faith.”

    Trump's Response:

    Donald J. Trump

    ✔@realDonaldTrump

Funny how lowly rated CNN, and others, can criticize me at will, even blaming me for the current spate of Bombs and ridiculously comparing this to September 11th and the Oklahoma City bombing, yet when I criticize them they go wild and scream, “it’s just not Presidential!”

I repeat, it was not the Times story. They did not write it. Newspapers publish writings by well-known authors. That's what the Times did.
