The campaign was willing to receive dirt on Clinton. Meanwhile, back on the topic, there is literally no evidence for these claims. If you have proof of a meeting between Omar and others where she was explicitly offered the chance to marry her brother and chose to pursue it, THEN then two situations will be comparable. Until then, it is a terrible attempt at a dodge.

If she's willing to divorce her own brother, obviously she wouldn't have any compunctions about divorcing someone she's not even related to. It may be that she has to divorce this guy so she can remarry her brother, so he can't be forced to testify against her.

She didn't want to wait to sponsor a sibling, so she married her gay brother (immigration/marriage/tax fraud) so he could get in sooner.

Maybe she could have made the argument he'd be persecuted because he's gay, but she didn't and in fact he's been hanging out in Kenya at a resort.
