Breaking News: Federal Authorities Arrest Man in Connection with Bomb Packages

BREAKING NEWS 10:55 A.M. ET: Federal authorities have arrested a man in connection to the suspected explosive packages discovered this week, multiple law enforcement sources tell CNN.

ORIGINAL STORY: Authorities have intercepted suspicious packages intended for Sen. Cory Booker and former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, authorities said Friday.

The packages are the latest to be sent to prominent Democrats and critics of President Donald Trump that were discovered earlier this week.

The FBI said Friday that the package addressed to Booker, a New Jersey Democrat, was discovered in Florida and is “similar in appearance to the others.” Sources told CNN the package was addressed to the senator’s Camden, New Jersey, office. Booker confirmed the package was intended for him but declined to comment further to CNN.

The package intended for Clapper also was addressed to CNN, a law enforcement official said. It was found at a New York City postal facility and was similar to the other packages, the official added.

The package arrived in a manila envelope with six US flag stamps, similar to other packages discovered this week. The return address is that of Florida Democratic Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s Florida office, which was the address on packages intended for former President Barack Obama, former Vice President Joe Biden, billionaire and Democratic donor George Soros, actor Robert De Niro, former Attorney General Eric Holder, 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and former CIA Director John Brennan. There is no information that suggests Wasserman Schultz sent the packages.

 

It's a Florida man that they're questioning. I don't care if this person is Democrat or a Republican, he should be hung by his neck till he's dead in a public square with hundreds of television cameras filming it all. Time to get serious with terrorists and make an example out of them like they'd do in Iraq or Iran.

The tarp blew off the van and they had to stop and fix it again but the camera got a clear and closer look at some of those stickers. Many of them had Trump on them with the American flag, one Trump and Pence and one 'CNN sucks'.

His name is Cesar Sayoc, Jr., he's 56 years old and lives in Florida. Has a large criminal history in Florida and has ties in NY.

It was this inaugural presidential seal on the window. It must be sticking in his throat to have to thank the Secret Service, FBI and others for catching this bastard so quickly.

 

He will get free food and housing for the rest of his life thanks to the federal prison system.

 

56 year old Cesar Sayoc Jr.who has a criminal record dating back to 1990 has been arrested on suspicion of being the bomb sender.

I don't see any evidence of anyone manipulating the color of his skin. I have seen at least a dozen different photos of this man and his skin color is the same in all depending on the lighting of course. Why is this even a 'thing' with you, I don't get it? Speaking of skin tone or color, his is actually about 2 shades lighter than Trump's is today.

• Lighting is totally different in each photo. Top photo is probably fluorescent. That alone changes skin clor and lightness.
• Did the same publication run them?
• Did the same person color correct them?

If the same person or outlet color corrected the photos, then you have a point. However, there's too much difference between your photo's sourcing, quality, and too much latitude in color correcting to come to any conclusion here.
