It’s either going to be unmitigated disaster or it’s going to change nothing. I’m edging towards changing nothing, no change in illegal immigration, the laws that people scream about that stops us from sending ‘them’ back are enforced by the UK courts and have nothing to do with being in the EU. That trillion dollar deficit was due to Trump having to rebuild the military back to where it needed to be to keep up with other super powers like China, Russia, N. Korea, and Iran, who were advancing beyond our capabilities and would at some point use against us. That which Obama had depleted to bare bones. It's the 21 trillion idiot Bush and Obama equally added that was the killer.

I’m in a continuous state of mildly depressed “told you so”. Brexit is a hot mess of problems, political arguments, unresolvable conflicts and mutually unpalatable compromises which is going to continue for years, with all sorts of things nobody (with a voice) will have foreseen to trip us up. I’m sure we’ll muddle through one way or another and I doubt we’ll be any worse off for it overall but I don’t expect us to be any better off either. Out of the frying pan and in to the wok.
