Brigham Young University in Jerusalem and peace in the Middle East

In my opinion Latter day Saints, specifically the students and faculty at Brigham Young University in Jerusalem are in a position to bring a massive shift to the entire Middle East...... and divert the economy of the Middle East away from warfare and in a direction that will be win - win - win - win - win - win - win for Israel, Jordan, The Palestinians, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon and all Middle Eastern nations........

I believe that Latter day Saints will catch onto how most of us Christians have refused to obey this admonition from Jesus.....

"Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver theeto the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, andthou be cast into prison." (Matthew 5:25)

This tendency to agree with our adversaries can begin with agreement on one topic... .one subject that we can find common ground on.... .but then Jesus can help that agreement to increase and increase and increase......

Here is the ancient Islamic prediction that I feel Latter day Saints WILL BE WILLING TO AGREE WITH and I believe that research on the advantages to this will happen from B.Y.U. in Jerusalem......

"Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (way peace be upon him) as saying: The Last Hour will not come before wealth becomes abundant and overflowing, so much so that a man takes Zakat out of his property and cannot find anyone to accept it from him and till the land of Arabia becomes meadows and rivers."

New Mexico biologist and Coach Carl Cantrell has written this up in a manner that can help Christians, Jews and Muslims to take a whole new look at the wisdom hidden in Isaiah chapter thirty five.

"So how is our problem of continental drying causing global warming? It all has to do with vegetation and sunlight. When sun light hits a plant, it causes a process which we call photosynthesis where the energy from the sun light creates oxygen for us to breath, water for us to drink, and is stored as sugar for plants and animals to use. When the same sun light hits the soil, all of its energy turns into heat and is radiated back into the atmosphere, carried away by running surface water such as rain fall, is carried away to other areas by our winds, and diffuses down into the soil towards the earth's crust. All of this warms our planet increasing its average temperature.

Therefore, the less vegetation you have on the planet, the more sunlight is being turned into heat and the warmer the planet becomes. This is very critical because warmer and dryer winds dry out other land areas faster decreasing the vegetation on those land areas. Less humidity in the air also reflects less sun light back out into space so that more sun light strikes the earth and more heat is generated.

The truth is that you can do more to decrease global warming by just reducing the average temperature for the Sahara Desert by one or two degrees than if we humans completely quit using fossil fuels and returned to the cave.

So, how would you start working to resolve this problem? Easy, cool the deserts and get some vegetation growing on them as soon as possible. But the method is much more complex than that. You have to use the prevailing trade winds in relation to the deserts to get the best results as quickly as possible and it will be extremely expensive.

Then we build desalination plants along the coast near these water sheds and pipe water to the tops or ridges of the water sheds

This will do a number of things. First, it will increase the moisture in the desert soil so that it will develop water tables and water will begin to run in the streams. This water will increase the amount of vegetation in the area and decrease the amount of heat being generated by sun light cooling the watered area and all areas down wind of the watered area. As more available water evaporates, it will cool the air and reflect more sun light back out into space cooling the area even more. Cooler and more humid air will have less of a heating effect on areas down wind and will reflect more sun light back into space in those areas cooling areas we won't be watering yet. Cooler and more humid air will also have less of a warming effect on our seas and oceans.

Rain water running off of cooler soil will decrease the heating effect on our oceans and our planet crusts which will decrease catastrophic storm activities for other areas and seismic activity for the entire planet. Also, returning more ocean water to the surface and aquifers of our continents will lower the sea levels providing more usable land for us to farm and build on.

With cooler desert areas and increasing vegetation, less water will evaporate from our deserts increasing the amount of surface water even more and increasing the amount of vegetation and animal life by huge amounts because deserts currently take up more than 20% of our land surface. Populations will be able to spread out and there will be less competition for existing land areas.

This strategy has to be done in steps with the first step being to begin slowing the rate at which our global warming is increasing. We need to focus on that until we have brought it to a point to where the temperature is not increasing any more and is reasonably stable. While we are doing this, we need to come to a global consensus of just how cool we want to cool our planet down to. If we cool it down too much, we will begin to have devastatingly harsh winters in large populated areas and even cause an ice age to set in.

Then we begin cooling the planet down to a point which will be most beneficial for all countries or the planet as a whole. We need to gradually bring the temperature down because there may be a lag effect in which the planet will continue cooling after we stop increasing our efforts to cool it off more. We may even want to stop cooling the planet once or twice before we reach our targeted temperatures to see if there is a lag effect

We need to start working on this as soon as possible because, if the planet reaches a point to where it is warming faster than our technology can possibly stop or reverse this warming trend, then our planet is lost and all life will cease to exist on this planet within a relatively short period of time. We will need to start with the largest and hottest deserts because cooling them will have the greatest benefit in the least time. (Global Warming II by biologist Carl Cantrell).

My all time record for getting myself disfellowshipped, excommunicated, shunned, ostracized and kicked out of Christian churches is TWO IN JUST OVER ONE MONTH back in 1991.

I am a former member of The Worldwide Church of God led by Pastor General Herbert W. Armstrong. I got turned off traditional Christian theology at six or seven years of age by a
hellfire and brimstone sermon by Dr. Billy Graham, (I think that that was around Christmas time 1966, but it is hard for me to remember for sure). I am sure though that it was in
Grade Three, Four and Five when I heard Evolutionary Theory taught that I breathed a sigh of relief and became an Atheist.

When I heard Evangelist Garner Ted Armstrong talking about hellfire on TV I became fascinated by all that he taught because the Soul Sleep idea that he used the scriptures to teach was also an interesting rebuttal for the Dr. Billy Graham hellfire and brimstone approach.

After Death ... then What?

I admit that I have certain biases.....
but still after all these years i am certain that we members of the Worldwide Church of God argued and debated far too much and we, (in my opinion anyway), seem to have
came close to the mentality of the Scribes and Pharisees who accused Jesus of using the power of Baalzebub to cast out devils because we took the idea of our being the One True Church too far.

"Now when the Pharisees heard it they said, “This fellow does not cast out demons except by Beelzebub, the ruler of the demons.”" (Matthew 12:24)

My wife is a gifted Pentecostal and I do remember hearing that Pentecostals were playing with the dark side of the force while I was in the WWCG. To my thinking now that was a very dangerous approach for our church to have taken to the phenomena that happens at many Pentecostal or Charismatic meetings.

In 1990 I went into a real Theological and Philosophical crisis when I began to read near death experience accounts and I was forced to take a very different approach to what Paul probably meant by 2 Corinthians 12: 2-4.

"I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago—whether in the body I do not know, or whether out of the body I do not know, God knows—such a one was caught up to the third heaven.
And I know such a man—whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows—
how he was caught up into Paradise and heard inexpressible words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter." (2 Corinthians 12: 2 - 4 )

The following is the testimony of George Ritchie’s OBE: George Ritchie dies of pneumonia in a Texas Army hospital and leaves his body unaware he is dead. Wanting eagerly to travel to Richmond, Virginia, to finish college, the thought instantly sends him flying through the door of the hospital and into the air – traveling thousands of miles toward Richmond. He also has no solidness there either. He flies back to the Army hospital where he sees his lifeless body in the morgue and realizes he is dead..

Suddenly, a being of tremendous light and love appeared before him. Ritchie realizes this light is like “a million welders’ lamps all blazing at once.” Human eyes would be destroyed in a second if they saw it. The being tells Ritchie to stand up. Ritchie is astonished to learn he is standing before Jesus Christ. More than anything emanating from Jesus was the unbelievable amount of unconditional love shining from him – a love that knew everything about Ritchie and loved him just the same. Simultaneously, as Jesus appeared to him, Ritchie watches his entire life displayed before him. Jesus asks him, “What have you done with your life?” Ritchie tries to come up with several examples but realizes he has fallen short. Ritchie eventually realizes Jesus is not judging him at all; but rather, Ritchie was judging himself. And the question “What have you done with your life?” had more to do with “How much unconditional love have you given others.”George Ritchie’s tour of the Earthbound Realm: Then Jesus begins to take Ritchie on a journey through various realms of the afterlife. They fly toward a large city on Earth where they notice a group of assembly-line workers at work. They witnesses the spirit of a woman trying desperately to grab a cigarette from the workers who were oblivious to her presence. This woman had died severely addicted to cigarettes and was now cut off from the one thing she desperately desired most.

Ritchie realizes how the spirits in these realms immediately know the thoughts of other spirits around them. This is the reason they tend to group together with other spirits. It is too threatening to be around others who knew and disagreed with their thoughts.

Jesus leads Ritchie to a house somewhere on Earth where he is shown the spirit of a young man following his living family members around and begging them for forgiveness. But the family members are completely unaware of his presence. Jesus tells Ritchie the young man committed suicide and is “chained to every consequence of his act.”

They then traveled to a bar somewhere on Earth which was filled with sailors drinking heavily. Spirits surrounded the sailors as they tried desperately, and in vain, to grasp the shot glasses to get a drink. Other spirits tried to control the sailors’ alcoholic behavior. Ritchie learns these are the spirits of people who died still having a severe alcoholic addiction which went beyond the physical. He is bewildered as he observes one of the sailors passing out causing the sailor’s protective aura surrounding him to crack open. When it does, it allows a spirit to scramble into the sailor’s unconscious body. This scene was repeated over and over.receiving station” where spirits would arrive in a deep hypnotic sleep because of a particular religious belief they held to be true. Here there were “angels” trying to arouse them and help them realize, “God is truly a God of the living and that they did not have to lie around sleeping until Gabriel or someone came along blowing on a horn.” These are the spirits of people who believe they must sleep in their grave until the second coming of Christ (i.e., soul sleep.)

Facts and figures relating to the frequency of abortion in Canada.

Five hundred dollars per Canadian per month, can this work?

I am advocating the usage of the Bank of Canada that is owned by all Canadians to finance giving five hundred dollars per month to all thirty seven million Canadians.

It will of course mean much more to poorer Canadians than to millionaires........
but it could be surprising how many stay at home wives with cheap and stingy millionaire husbands who control the purse strings of the home may find this extra five hundred very helpful indeed.

I suspect that well over eighty percent of of Canadians will spend this money reasonably well and:
1. enrol their kids in more after school programs.....
2. begin to purchase a higher percentage of organic produce vs the cheap GMO stuff
3. purchase a newer car, SUV or half ton truck
4. do renovations to their homes
5. hire landscapers to do certain projects on their properties
6. pay down their debt loads, especially the higher interest ones
7. buy a new home rather than renting
8. buy a cottage outside the city so that they can get away for weekends
9. many will choose to move to rural Canada in order to escape relatively hectic city life
10. eat at nice restaurants more often

11. I also believe that a significant percentage of Canadian women who would have chosen to have an abortion under the present economic situation will CHOOSE to keep their babies as opposed to having an abortion!

I suspect that less than ten percent of Canadians will attempt to live off this five hundred dollars / month and simply use it to drink or smoke more.
To whatever degree this happens the worst cases where these Canadians put themselves and others in danger this can be dealt with by issuing food stamps vs a monthly check.

Latter day Saints.... .might just find to be rather humous....... because Latter day Saints seem to have exceptionally good senses of humour........

Latter day Saints are so used to being looked down on that when somebody will at the least have a sensible conversation with them they are very, exceedingly happy and surprised....and L.D.S. missionaries, both Elders and Sisters, went to work and saved ten thousand dollars before they began their two years of missionary work.

Since 2018 I have been mentored by twelve or fourteen Latter day Saint Elders and Sisters and I had one conversation in common with all of them..... .I brought up the topic in the book and movie "Heaven is for Real" where Westlyian Pastor Todd Burpo talks about how his son little Colton Burpo at four, five, six, seven and eight years of age convinced him and his wife that their son, at merely three years and ten months of age had a genuine near death experience and met Jesus in a higher invisible dimension of space and time!

I WAS SO PLEASED TO NOTICE THAT ALL LATTER DAY SAINTS MISSIONARIES had nothing but positive things to say about Westlyian Pastor Todd Burpo and about his son. Latter day Saints, like myself, tend to take the near death experience account of little Colton Burpo very, very, very seriously!!!!!!

Because Latter day Saint Elders and Sisters refuse to criticize and complain and nit pick at some problem or flaw in Pastor Todd Burpo or his son Colton or his wife JESUS HAS BLESSED THEM WITH A SPECIAL SHALOM AND PEACE OF MIND......because it is shocking to me how many evangelical Christians can come so close to risking that they might be blaspheming against the Holy Spirit to accuse Latter day Saints of NOT HAVING BEEN GIVEN THE HOLY SPIRIT due to a possible error in doctrine, (because frankly back in 1990 I prayed and asked Jesus to show me my errors and sins so that I would not lead other astray, as I felt I had been partly led astray on the topic of Soul Sleep), and since then Jesus has shown me error after error after error after error in every topic and idea that I had formed an opinion on......... We all have some errors in our doctrines... but that will not stop the Holy Spirit from beginning to take over in our lives as long as we will sincerely ask for and genuinely want to be changed and transformed by the cleansing fire of the Holy Spirit!!!!!

What I did back then might even be especially useful to all of the student body and faculty at Brigham Young University in Jerusalem........
because after fasting on Yom Kippur since the 1970's I saw an especially good reason for HOPE in a verse in Leviticus.

In a sense I decided to put in an offer.....
a proposed investment of time, (infinite time in the future actually), a bet, a wager... toward THE DEBT /GUILT OF AZAZEL
as hinted at in Leviticus 16:10.......

Why is the name "Azazel" in Leviticus 16 verse ten in the RSV?

I suspect a connection between the final Elijah and the Patriarch Adam......
and I suspect that the idea of "the restoration of all things"...... fits with the increase and increase and increase of the kingdom of the Moshiach!

In my sixty two years I have noticed that Latter day Saints tend to be very well read and many of them have studied The Book of Jasher and The Book of Enoch so they tend to take
questions like this more seriously than non-Latter day Saint Christians tend to do.

Or... could it be that when somebody has a prophetic calling on their lives that they will also face especially difficult opposition from Satan?

For example, Matthew chapter four shows that even Messiah Yeshua - Jesus met with a "tempter" who sure appears to be Satan / Lucifer and He was given some serious offers of wealth and worldly power????

According to the Church’s New Zealand Newsroom, because communication and travel are still so limited, Church leader Elder Inoke Kupu only learned of the dire situation on the island of Ha’apai almost a full week after the disaster and asked the 15 stakes on Tongatapu to donate anything they could for the people there. Tons of food, clothes, bedding, fuel, and other supplies over the course of 48 hours, and a ship with Church leaders and stake volunteers set out for Ha’apai and the outer islands on Saturday.

According to the Church’s 2019 statistics, 63.5% of the population of Tonga are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints—the largest percentage of any country in the world.

PROF VEERABHADRAN RAMANATHAN: The stunning part of the experiment was this pollutant layer which was three kilometre thick, cut down the sunlight reaching the ocean by more than 10%.

NARRATOR: A 10% fall in sunlight meant that particle pollution was having a far bigger effect than anyone had thought possible.

PROF VEERABHADRAN RAMANATHAN: Our models led us to believe the human impact on the dimming was close to half to one per cent. So what we discovered was tenfold.

NARRATOR: INDOEX showed that the pollution particles were blocking some sunlight themselves; but far more significant was what they were doing to the clouds. They were turning them into giant mirrors. Clouds are made of droplets of water. These only form when water vapour in the atmosphere starts to condense on the surface of naturally occurring airborne particles, typically pollen or sea salt. As they grow, the water droplets eventually become so heavy they fall as rain. But Ramanathan found that polluted air contained far more particles than the unpolluted air, particles of ash, soot and sulphur dioxide.

PROF VEERABHADRAN RAMANATHAN: We saw ten times more particles in the polluted air mass north of the Maldives compared with what we saw south of the Maldives which was a pristine air mass.

NARRATOR: In the polluted air billions of man-made particles provided ten times as many sites around which water droplets could form. So polluted clouds contained many more water droplets, each one far smaller than it would be naturally. Many small droplets reflect more light than fewer big ones. So the polluted clouds were reflecting more light back into space, preventing the heat of the sun getting through. This was the cause of Global Dimming.

PROF VEERABHADRAN RAMANATHAN: Basically the Global Dimming we saw in the North Indian Ocean, it was contributed on the one hand by the particles themselves shielding the ocean from the sunlight, on the other hand making the clouds brighter. So this insidious soup, consisting of soot, sulphates, nitrates, ash and what have you, was having a double whammy on the Global Dimming.

NARRATOR: And when he looked at satellite images, Ramanathan found the same thing was happening all over the world. Over India. Over China, and extending into the Pacific. Over Western Europe... extending into Africa. Over the British Isles. But it was when scientists started to investigate the effects of Global Dimming that they made the most disturbing discovery of all. Those more reflective clouds could alter the pattern of the world's rainfall. With tragic consequences."

All banks know very well the magic of compound interest. And Pierre Trudeau must have known that the mounting compounded national debt would lead to Canadians eventually owing a dollar fifty for every dollar of their disposable incomes. After all, he studied economics at the London School of Economics. Surely the professors there knew about compound interest.

So Pierre Trudeau, instead of feeling blessed that Canada, unlike the US, had a nationalized central bank, signed our bank away to the private banks. Couldn’t Trudeau, such an educated man, surmise that citizens in a few years would be struggling to make car payments and meet rent and mortgages and student loans and to buy healthy food while last year’s profits for the big five (that’s Royal Bank, TD Bank, Scotiabank, Bank of Montreal and CIBC amounted to $31.7 billion?) So...one logical step is for Latter day Saint reporters and writers to give credit to Pastor David Wilkerson for his statement regarding a major shift to occur in the United States and Canada.

Although this sermon and book has a distinctly Pentecostal or Charismatic Catholic flavour... there are some major points made here that many Latter day Saints would tend to agree with.

On a practical note.....
a greater level of cooperation between Latter day Saints with Christians in all denominations can easily result in a massive increase in the incomes of all Christians which will lead to the gospel being preached in all nations just as Jesus predicted that it would be.

My name is Dennis Tate. I lived most of my forty seven years in West Lochiel Lake, Guysborough County. I am running for MLA as an independent in the area of Pictou Centre so that I can help as many people as possible become more aware of what I am sure is the real reason why our roads are in disrepair, why hospital beds are unused, why so many of the rural schools have been shut down, why our soldiers in Afghanistan are poorly equipped and why many if not most of our young people may have to leave Nova Scotia to find jobs.

When well trained workers have high quality technology to work with then the total of all wages and benefits paid out to employees is only a fraction of the retail value of the products they produce. As a result of this fact the only way to move products out of warehouses is to extend higher and higher levels of credit. One problem with an abundance of red ink is that compound interest on all this government, business and personal debt over a period of decades will grow to astronomical levels. At this time there is approximately TEN TIMES as much debt in Canada as there is money. A simple explanation for how this happened can be seen here:

In my opinion this rather simple mathematical problem is perhaps the number one cause of inflation in the Canadian economy over the past three decades. This is also perhaps the number one reason why our costs of production are so high and Canadian products cannot compete on the world markets as well as they could under better conditions.

From 1940 to 1970 the Government of Canada put roughly half of the total money supply into the economy through loans issued through the federally owned Bank of Canada. Provincial and municipal governments could borrow the money to build roads, schools, hospitals and sewage treatment facilities at zero or one percent interest. In 1970 we changed our system and since that time a higher and higher percentage of all government debt is financed through loans issued through privately owned banks. At this time it is ninety eight percent. This policy may be great for our banking sector but it was estimated that in the one year of 1995 alone our federal government could have saved roughly SIXTY FIVE BILLION DOLLARS in interest payments if we had gone back to creating half the total money supply through these low interest rate loans issued through the bank that is OWNED BY ALL CANADIANS.

Considering that our deficit was approximately thirty billion dollars for that year, simply by changing back to an already proven monetary and banking system, we could theoretically have had a FEDERAL BUDGET SURPLUS OF THIRTY FIVE BILLION DOLLARS in 1995.

“Governments these days find it easy to defend cuts in services and programs. All they have to do is point to their annual deficits and their total accumulated debts. (As of March, 1994, Canada's public debt was about $546 billion.) This public debt provides the politicians with a convenient excuse for cutting spending or raising taxes. Or both. “We're broke”, they tell us plaintively. “We can't afford to increase public services, or even keep them at their present level.”

A lesson from the War

“As the deep recession dragged into 1992, Finance Minister Don Mazankowski said he couldn't do anything about it. His hands were tied, he said. The federal government was broke. The cupboard was bare. The deficit and accumulated national debt were so enormous that his first priority had to be to reduce them — even if that meant prolonging the recession and making it even worse.

“So his budget contained almost nothing to revive the sick economy. With interest payments on the debt gobbling up one-third of tax revenue, his response was to keep taxes high and axe more public services and agencies. Like Martin Luther before him, Mazankowski in effect proclaimed: «Here stand I. I cannot do otherwise.

“But it doesn't take an economist to see that in fact he could. All you have to do is imagine what the government would do if it got involved in another Gulf War — or if that war were still raging. Would the Finance Minister have brought down the same kind of budget? Would he have said, «We'd like to keep on fighting, but we're broke, so we're calling our troops back»? Not on your life!

“Did Canada surrender half way through World War II because the national debt had grown even larger than the Gross Domestic Product (GDP)? Of course not! Somehow the extra money was found. If it wasn't by raising taxes or borrowing from the private banks, why, the Bank of Canada simply created all the money the government needed — and at near-zero interest rates, too!

“When World War II ended, the national debt relative to the national income was more than twice as large as it is now. But was the country ruined? Did we have to declare national bankruptcy? Far from it! Instead, Canada's economy boomed and the country prospered for most of the post-war period.”

The Bank of Canada has failed in its duty

“Why isn't the same thing happening today? Why was a much larger national debt shrugged off in 1945, while today's much smaller debt (as a percentage of GDP) is being used as an excuse to let the economy stagnate?

“The answer can be found at the Bank of Canada. During the war, and for 30 years afterward, the government could borrow what it needed at low rates of interest, because the government's own bank produced up to half of all the new money. That forced the private banks to keep their interest rates low, too.

“Since the mid-1970s, however, the Bank of Canada, with government consent, has been creating less and less of the new money, while letting the private banks create more and more. Today «our» bank creates a mere 2% of each year's new money supply, while allowing the private banks to gouge the government — and of course you and me, as well — with outrageously high interest rates. And it is these extortionate interest charges that are the principal cause of the rapid escalation of the national debt. If the federal government were paying interest at the average levels that prevailed from the 1930s to the mid-1970s, it would now be running an operating surplus of about $13 billion!”

The updated version (January, 1996) of the pamphlet expresses the same ideas:

“The Bank of Canada was established in 1935 by an Act of Parliament. In its legislative mandate, it is directed to promote economic growth and employment, as well as preserving the value of the Canadian dollar.

“Shortly after the Bank opened its doors, it was faced with the bankruptcy of provincial governments due to the Depression. Interpreting its mandate widely, as it is supposed to do, it made precedent-setting loans to restore the finances of Manitoba. Generous loans to other provinces followed.

“World War II found Canada ready and determined to act in the Allied cause. The war effort of the federal government was financed through enormous deficits and very low interest rates brought about by the Bank of Canada. At war's end, the national debt stood at about 120% of Gross Domestic Product (GDP), nearly double the level of today. Yet Canada went on to enjoy the greatest period of economic growth in its history...

“(Now) the Bank of Canada has decided that any government spending not financed by taxation is inflationary, so it no longer extends credit to the government by holding bonds and Treasury bills. Its small holdings of government debt are confined to the banknotes needed by the economy for currency in circulation...” (End of 1996 updated version's excerpts.)

“One of the most pervasive myths about the government deficit is that governments which spend more than they receive in revenue must borrow the difference, thus increasing the public debt.

“In fact, a government can choose to create the needed additional money instead of borrowing it from the banks, the public, or foreigners.

“Business and the conservatives in politics and the media are horrified by the suggestion that the government exercise its right to create more money. They claim it would precipitate another ruinous bout of inflation.

“But money creation is money creation — whether by a private bank or the Bank of Canada. And a government in debt only to the government's own bank is not really in debt at all. If it wants to go through the rigamarole of having the Treasury «borrow» from the central bank and later pay interest, that is a minor matter of bookkeeping. As long as the central bank's profits are returned to the Treasury, the results are much the same as if the Treasury had created the money itself.

“There is no reason why the growth of Canada's money supply (averaging about $22 billion annually in recent years) could not be more substantially created by the Bank of Canada. If that policy had been followed, the federal government would not have been obliged to add to its debts to pay interest on old debts. Instead, the Bank of Canada has produced barely 2% of the money added in recent years, while the chartered banks added the rest as they made loans to households, businesses, and all levels of government. At the very least, the Bank of Canada and the chartered banks should share the privilege of creating money on a 50-50 basis.

“Those who dismiss such a proposal as “inflationary” should be required to explain why it would be more inflationary for the government's bank to create $11 billion and the private banks $11 billion, rather than the present practice of having the government's bank create $0.7 billion and the private banks $21.3 billion!

“Clearly the current problem of the Canadian government's deficit is not its absolute size, or its size relative to the GDP, but the insane way it is being financed. A return to the policies of the World War II era, when the Bank of Canada produced almost one-half of the new money at near-zero interest, would do wonders for the economy, while greatly shrinking the deficit... The first order of business for a post-Mulroney-era government must be to regain effective control of the Bank of Canada and make it the primary source of money creation.

“It is ludicrous for the government to put billions of dollars into circulation by borrowing from the private banks, when it can create the extra money it needs, virtually free.”

A friendly challenge to all sixteen million Latter day Saints on this third rock beginning with all Latter day Saints within driving distance of the Toronto, Canada wards and temples.

I just moved to Mississauga from Nova Scotia on December 21, 2021. Because I would NOT take the vaccine I got put on Unpaid Administrative Leave from my former employer so I retired one day before that Unpaid leave would have begin...... and a few weeks later I drove to Mississauga to be with family. I've been working at a building supply store since February and I have been thinking and thinking and thinking about how so much SHRINKAGE could possibly happen in our store?????????

Personally.... I cannot figure out how shrinkage can be so high so..... I am wondering if the Latter Day Saints community would be interested in assisting shrinkage for many large companies in the USA and Canada to be turned into an ASSET somehow???????

How about all forms of SHRINkAGE for many large North American companies is looked as a prop.... in a proposed series of films where the employees at certain stores become actors working with Latter day Saint film producers to reduce the shrinkage as much as possible..... .and the artistic value of the films is used to fully reimburse those companies for shrinkage in all forms........ .yes...... in all forms....... even what may have been stolen from that store!!!!!!!

My employer donates and raises a huge amount each year for Habitat for Humanity as well as for Sick Kids. I am of the belief that CHURCHES should attempt to apply the Worgl Austria Local Money Experiment to attempt to decrease unemployment and underemployment among members of their church as well as among the people who are interested in their church. Some sort of Latter day Saint created alternative currency note or database has enormous potential now in 2022 where so many aspects of a Bear Market, (another 1929), seem to be confronting us.

One idea that interests me would be a semi-reality science fiction film series set partly in Nova Scotia, Canada surrounding a possible Alternative Universe / Example of Applied Multiverse Theory, where the nine hundred and seven Jewish refugees on the M. S. St. Louis are actually smuggled into Nova Scotia by lobster fishermen and actual Jews mostly from the United States play the role of those nine hundred and seven Jewish refugees from 1939. Many Jews would not want to get onto a ship used for fishing lobsters so some of the lobster fishermen and women's friends who fish mostly for a kosher type of fish could be used to pick up some of the Jewish refugees. I like the idea of the Captain of the Ms. S. Louis deliberately getting his ship stuck in the sand bars of Sable Island in our proposed alternative universe.

I like the idea of one of those Jewish refugee families moving to Sherbrooke, Nova Scotia and they create an alternative currency unit much like an online friend of mine from the MeWe group Patriotic Pride wrote to me about.

The mayor of Worgl, together with local businessmen, decided to try to break this economic impasse by creating their own local currency. They printed and issued 60,000 Austrian shillings worth of local currency. These shillings could only be spent in Worgl, so they remained in the local community and were exchanged over and over again.

The positive impact was immediate and surprising to everyone. In only six weeks, unemployment disappeared, all the factories had reopened and everyone had food. For the inhabitants of Worgl, the economic depression was gone. This dramatic transformation became known as the “miracle of Worgl.” Surrounding towns, inspired by the success of Worgl, immediately started printing their own local currencies.

Sadly, the miracle did not last long. When the Austrian Central Bank heard about Worgl’s local currency, they initiated legal proceedings against the mayor and local businessmen. According to Austrian banking law, it was illegal for anyone except the Austrian Central Bank to issue money. The bank won the court case, and the mayor was ordered to shut down the local currency, which he did, under threat of imprisonment. The town then returned to the devastating economic depression of the 1930s, with all the human pain and suffering associated with this catastrophe. Factories closed, and once again, the people starved.

Alternative Currency in the U.S.
Irving Fisher, an American professor of economics at Yale University, visited Worgl before the local currency was suppressed and witnessed the ‘miracle’ firsthand. When he returned to the United States, Fisher spread the word by traveling and lecturing across the country, advocating the use of the Worgl ‘scrip’ everywhere. Inspired by his vision, hundreds of communities began issuing their own currency, and by 1934 there were over 1,000 local communities using ‘scrip’ throughout the U.S.

Every one of these communities experienced a tremendous rejuvenation of their local economies. They thrived while others suffered. Fisher then met with President Franklin D. Roosevelt, proposing the implementation of government-sanctioned local ‘scrip’ in every community in America. When FDR consulted with his top financial advisors and bankers, however, he was advised to shut all the ‘scrip’ systems down, which he did. Instead, he borrowed large amounts of money from bankers, at interest, and used it to pay for the Reconstruction Finance Corporation and the other work-creation projects, which collectively came to be known as the ‘New Deal.’ So ended the last widespread use of a local currency within the U.S.

This pattern of economic collapse and re-emergence of local currencies has occurred thousands of times in many parts of the world. When these currencies have failed or have been suppressed, banks have not always been to blame. Sometimes, local currencies fail because they have been badly designed or implemented. Sometimes, people lose interest in them when the mainstream economy recovers. But they have always returned in one form or another during times of economic failure.

Our present world situation is uniquely different. Despite a relatively prosperous and stable world economy, a quiet monetary revolution has been occurring around the globe over the last 20 years. Awareness is growing about the flaws in our current monetary system, and people are re-creating viable alternatives. Rabbi Nachman of Breslov said something to the effect of.... "Don't despise a book..... it is part of the world." L.D.S. teachings on the State of the Dead may be the closest to the Jewish idea of any large Christian denomination so....... Jewish scholars are all set up to take the Book of Mormon more seriously than most do.

"Don't despise a book"..... the same can be said of a film....... a film.... even if it is partly incorrect.... if the film producers were sincerely attempting to tell what they thought to be the truth.... that film can have a positive impact on the world.

On August 13 1999 (my 23rd wedding anniversary), Linda and I went up to the Galilee to a nice quite place over looking the Sea of Galilee, just to celebrate God’s goodness in our lives, and our marriage. It was pretty much an uneventful time except for the word the Lord spoke to me.

On the way up to the Galilee we went up to the top of Mt. Tabor, while we were up on this high mountain I so clearly felt the Lord say I want to give you a sign. So as we stood in prayer and silence with such an awesome view of the valley below I looked to see what the sign might be. But even as I looked at the many people up riding the winds on special parachutes, I did not sense anything in the spirit. We felt such a peace, it was incredible. But I did not sense any of this to be the sign, and we ultimately left knowing that our time on Mt. Tabor (Har Tavor in Hebrew) was over.

When we finally got to our destination on the mountain over looking the Sea of Galilee, and moved into our room. We went out to sit and have a coffee, and just enjoy the peace and quite, with again an awesome view. While just relaxing and looking out, an Israeli flag on the property caught my eye, as it was blowing in the wind. We soon went down to have a bite to eat and stroll the town centre, after which we went back to the Hostel we were staying at. As we sat again looking out at the view, my eye again was caught by the Israeli flag. But this time when I saw the flag it was torn on top and at the bottom, and I immediately knew this was the sign the Lord was telling me about. The top of the flag was torn right along the blue line about 30% of the way and the bottom also along the blue line was torn about 15%, and I began to understand the sign. I feel the Lord was saying I am about to tear Israel geographically and nationally I will tear my people Israel.

And immediately I said Lord why, again shall we suffer the loss of our land and the pain of your dealing with us your people. And His answer was short and direct, He answered by these verses of scripture. “Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up. After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight. US Election: Is God Sending A Warning?

Six days ago the United States of America entered into her most controversial election in her entire history. And it is very far from over. I am sure you have all been watching the news and praying very concerned this doesn't take America into a civil war.

Republican vs Democrats: Or is God speaking out of His mercy ?

The media is filled with all kinds of allegations and theories of with is committing voter fraud and who is entitle to declare a victory. But could a little bit of what has been happening in the USA for the past few years with fires and draughts and riots and hurricanes be the voice of the Lord bringing a warning to a nation and its leaders that God is not happy with Donald Trump's plan to divide Israel, called "The Deal Of The Century".

“‘The land shall not be sold in perpetuity, for the land is mine; for you are strangers and live as foreigners with me. Lev 25:23

We have witnessed D. Trump do some very historic and brave things for Israel, such as moving the US Embassy to Jerusalem and then recognizing the Golan Heights as being a part of Israel. Things that angered many and made some (especially here in Israel) glad.

But is recognizing what God's word has declared for over 3,000 years about Jerusalem and the Golan Heights, considered sufficient authority for the President to now violate God's word and will? It is almost like buying a very beautiful wardrobe for a special and attractive lady and then say now that I have given you this, will you please engage in some prostitution in order that I can also satisfy others with my kindness to you? I know that may sound rather vulgar, but truth is there is no act any man could perform to justify the division of God's land. It is sin and a grave sin.

Also just a couple days before Yom Teruach (feast of Trumpets) on September 15/20 Israel, UAE and Donald Trump gathered together in the White House to sign a historic document titled the Abrahamic Accords, the deal touted as being orchestrated by the President. God knows why Donald Trump chose the words Abrahamic Accords, when the Lord made a covenant with Abraham millennia past to give this land to Abraham and his descendants. A agreement of mutual recognition between Israel and the United Aram Emirates. It was hailed as a historic event that is just the beginning of at least ten other Islamic nations joining into a mutual agreement of co-operation with Israel. But the grandest question is why did the UAE agree and now ten other countries soon to follow agree to sign a treaties with someone they have vowed to destroy for decades? The answer is Israel agreed to immediately stop all plans to annex parts of Judea and Samaria and agreed that the "Deal Of The Century" would be implemented quickly. Which means the USA brokered the beginnings of the division of the land. Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also in agreeing to this action is bringing judgement on himself and Israel. Johnathan Cahn told a story of how Netanyahu was warned not to divide the land back in 1996, but he did it anyway, and was removed from power.

He has remembered his covenant forever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations, the covenant which he made with Abraham, his oath to Isaac, and confirmed the same to Jacob for a statute; to Israel for an everlasting covenant, saying, “To you I will give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance;” when they were but a few men in number, yes, very few, and foreigners in it.

Back in January of this year I wrote this article and this article concerning the announcement of the "Deal of The Century". Warning that the consequences to dividing God's land would be detrimental to the United States, and that we in the body of Messiah must pray. I pointed out that Donald Trump waited to this historic week of January 26-31 2020 to announce his "Deal Of The Century" to divide Israel. Why was is it a historic week? Because it was exactly when the leaders of the nations came to Jerusalem in remembrance of the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz There have been many that have had prophetic dreams and visions of America being devastated if they continued to push to divide the land.

I have included many links to videos and articles explaining the absolute danger of trying to divide God's Land, and we must take this seriously. I am convinced if this action is not stopped it will be the destruction of the United States of America, and not just chaos from an election but it will never be the same again.
