There are tons of vids and incidents of people using a weapon to defend themselves. You can keep ignoring it if you want, but it’s not really your call what people with our rights do with their privately owned property. We don’t ban things just because .001% of people are idiots, that’s not a right we’d allow a government to usurp.

having a weapon IS like wearing a set belt. You may never need it but when you do, there’s no replacement. I wear a helmet at the race track, and protective gear saves lives.

It does not disprove you're only disarming the law abiding, and it doesn't prove a gateway theory.

Keep running your mouth though. I'm not a reporting type myself, so feel free to continue.

But in practical terms, licensed concealed carry is the more reasonable alternative in most areas of the United States. If the gun is concealed, would-be criminals face the deterrent risk that almost any potential victim might be armed. A concealed gun is much harder for a thief to snatch away by surprise than is a gun in an open holster. And concealed guns are less likely to upset people who have emotional fears of guns. (134)

    (134) The precise term for such fears is "hoplophobia" (fear of armed citizens).

Hoplo IE hoplite IE armed citizen soldier.

    Your dictionary is imprecise.

And all the nuclear bombs in the world that are there for defense didn't go off yesterday. Countries only have them for protection so why not let ALL countries have them?

The "gateway" reference is there. It's not right in your face but it's there all right. Go ahead and report if you think you have a case.

I’m not sure how a country with 2a rights has anything to do with nuclear bombs, please explain.

Report what? If you see a gateway reference, point to it.

Guess you don't know what an analogy is
    Definition of analogy
1a : a comparison of two otherwise unlike things based on resemblance of a particular aspect.

No, but it's irrelevant. It's nothing more than opinion, not a definition

thank you for that lesson. Would you mind next time making a similar analogy? this one does not even remotely fit. All the comedy in the UK could not make that fit.
