By giving people the impression that they are in an empire they create a real one

Politicians tell the people that American empire must end, but this is how they are going to create a real empire like e.g. the Roman, because the 'current one' is not as the Roman or the German empire was, currently without a real brutal emperor or ruthless dictator (they try to let you think the president is a hardcore dictator like Nero, Stalin or Hitler, they first need the power of the people on their side to rule with an iron fist)
They give people the impression the current system they are in is an empire, in the mean while they try to create a real one (like the European Byzantine, Roman, German empires) They are creating two real empires, one in the Middle East (Arab League) and one in the West (transatlantic alliance USA/Europe)
The EU was clearly caused to let it collapse (Greece seems to go broke, only economically not financially, the Greek elite and politics have billions, are seeking absolute power, the last thing are the votes of the masses. Thats why they are causing revolution, to cause political change)

What empire in the middle east. All we did was waste a lot of money over there and received no national benefits for our efforts.
