Not a Democrat here, but I'm not a big fan of this. Wealthy people probably have higher electric bills already due to larger houses, a/c, pools with heaters, etc. There is a time and place for experimentation, and the amounts aren't that bad, but it still seems unfair to charge one person one price and the another a different price just because they make more money. It seems like it could also be an added burden to families on the lower end of the earning scale, as Californians are already paying higher rates and the low end is $20k /year. Seems like a surcharge for using too much would be a better way, have a kw/hr limit per household member so those at the lower end of the income levels don't get slammed by keeping their costs down. Or, more incentives for people to be more efficient.
Always follow the money in politics. The left getting paid by big electric to pull this crap no doubt.
LOL. Every single plan California (and democrats in general) makes includes paying more. Americans are struggling to make ends meet and often can't and yet they are always coming out with new policies where we pay even more. But, the economy's going great!
