I like the idea of transferring much of the revenue flowing into the government structure to accounts controlled by productive labor.

Welfare for the able idle should be humane and unattractive to the recipients. Absent a minimum wage a nutritionist designed diet would put most to work ASAP. Carson's food boxes are interesting, but the logistics may be difficult.

I am not going to twitch respond to this experiment yet. It's possible in a society with strong work ethic, family values.. Yes those still should mean something, civic duty, respect for others... Especially police.. It's possible something for the lower class like this could be of benefit and I would support it but don't ask me to PAY for it ok?

The point of the min wage. If you want people to be able to eat and not be homeless and are willing to pay subsidies if employer wages fall short that's... Min wage. Changing the name doesn't make it a new (or better) idea.

An idea I had yesterday is this, outsourced work. A person could have someone (unemployed and qualified to do their work) come in and work in their name. The actual employee would only get 25% pay with the other 75% going to the sub. Great way of taking a sick day or vacation if you don't have paid leave and puts money in the pocket of the unemployed person subbing for them.
