Most leftists won't save criminals. They protect the rights of the innocent until they are convicted as perpetrators.

Trial juries have made mistakes in the past, and my money is on future ones will too, irrelevant of the state they reside in.

When are you going to start the petition to amend the fourth amendment?

Clearly you didn't bother to read anything past the headlines

    I DID read this:
A California man who was caught on video pummeling a sheriff's deputy and shooting at her with her own gun.

What I don’t understand is how this situation applies to the 4th amendment:

The Constitution, through the Fourth Amendment, protects people from unreasonable searches and seizures by the government.

    And further:

The Fourth Amendment, however, is not a guarantee against all searches and seizures, but only those that are deemed unreasonable

Please Mr Truth and Justice, explain to me how the 4th amendment applys to any part of this situation.

It’s pretty clear that you are PERFECTLY FINE with criminals committing vicious, violent attacks in your fellow Americans.

Also, why didn’t you bother to address the question I asked earlier?

Did I not ask it in a way that you were able to “tell on me”?

Funny part about that is: you folks that defend “your chosen politician”, don’t seem to realize that “your chosen politicians” are currently working hard to defund the police.

Simply put: you can tattletale on me while on this forum…

… who are you going to tattletale to when 2 extremely brutal thugs are breaking into your home in the dead of night?

Oh yea, there is no PETITION to free these worthless cowards, when are you going to start one “truth and justice”?

Wow, a lot of waffle there with no substance. The fourth amendment was why he was found not guilty. Try and keep up! You do know he was found not guilty, don't you? Why do you think that was? Don't answer nonsense like it's California. It would also help if you bothered to read my posts instead of writing crap

It's them lot who fought with cops on jan 6th, and want them to get a pardon to go.
You don't see Biden do that. Them are just for "defend the blue" when they attack minorities like Floyd.

It wasn't them who fought and continue to fight them for over two years and get bailed out by the current Vice President and her charity.

Do you think such outrageous dismissals of felony charges for trying to murder a police officer will help us entice more people to become police officers especially those of high character and ethics?

Crap, really, your fellow citizens being attacked and not facing consequences is crap to you? Really?

Once again: (you never answered this one so I’m gona keep posting it UNTIL you answer it):

What would you do if your birthing person, or someone you care for was attacked in such a manner?

Would you say: Wow, a lot of waffle there with no substance. The fourth amendment was why he was found not guilty. Try and keep up! You do know he was found not guilty, don't you?

Imagine how this officer’s family feels about comments like yours…

Young's defense attorney, however, argued that McCarthy had no lawful reason to do what she was doing, and therefore his client was acting in self-defense.

"The issue was, was the initial detention of Mr. Young legal?" he told the station. "If it's not, then he's not guilty. ... He could punch her 100 times, and it wouldn't matter."
    https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/california-man-pummeled-shot-female-175942554.html

''He said the direction his client fired in did not match where McCarthy had hidden.

'We know exactly where she went, which was due south,' Maline told the outlet.

And we know where he fired because there's a bullet hole in the garage which shows he fired, which was northeast, which was in the direction he was walking, which was completely opposite of where she was,' he continued.''

The attorney also claimed McCarthy was not acting lawfully at the time of the shocking and violent altercation.

'You can't detain somebody because you want to do an investigation,' said Maline.

'The jury instruction that the court read to the jury said if you want to detain somebody, you have to have a reasonable suspicion that they're engaged in criminal activity,' he said of the jury's hung decision on three charges.''

Staying out of California seems like a good idea. Some people claim that the state is becoming “purple.” I don’t see it that way. The sensible “red Republicans” are moving out while the crazy “blue nuts” are consolidating their power. The place looks bluer than ever to me. The sad and scary part is, California keeps exporting their ideas and politicians to the rest of us. The next Democrat president in 2024 will be Harris or Newsom. Yuck! :dead:

What does a fallcious report by the Senate Dems have to do with anything? AFAIK all persons who physically assaulted police have been charged.

Which bit of snippets from two of my posts do you not understand?
    "Stupid verdict"

"Stupid verdict though your 4th gives you that protection"

So yes, as I wrote, "It would also help if you bothered to read my posts instead of writing crap"

It's wishful thinking among some Republicans who really think that California will ever be in play again on a state wide basis. It won't. The overall state is extreme far left and can only go further to the left. The politicians there are experts at devising new, bad ideas. Their fellow far leftists in other states often go along.

The breaking point might come if the far left tries to seize private property. That could happen as a way to get around the sky high real estate prices there. There will only be effective objections if the super rich are bothered. Otherwise the middle class will take on the chin again. That's why they are leaving California.

She was able to get his arm around his back and then patted him down for 13 seconds so he did not attack her on first sight no matter how angry he looked while he was walking towards her. (Way someone looks is not a defense)

Why was he found not guilty? Saying "it's California ' would be dismissed as a pathetic answer

Yeah I know, I've heard it for 40+years, Cali the largest US economy, by far, the most billionaires and millionaires even though we have a highly progressive tax system.

Sure some are leaving, Covid and the way Diaper Donnie handled it hurt a lot of US!

But thankfully we have finally gotten rid of the BS GOP Guv's we had for 16 of 20 years when they pulled us down and loaded Cali up on debt with the credit card!

sometimes juries get it wrong, remember a guy going to an protest with an ar-15 getting off not too long ago

this is why media has to say alleged, even if the crime is obvious

    https://abc7.com/victorville--san-bernardino-county-sheriffs-deputy-found-not-guilty/13352182/

"The suspect, Ari Young, suffers from schizophrenia. He was found guilty of negligent discharge of a firearm. But the jury hung on three other charges: battery against a peace officer, removal of an officer's sidearm and resisting arrest.'"

Sounds like mental illness per that, but from what read, he did not shoot at officer, so the attempted murder would have been overcharge, but the rest?

I think the illegal search though just taints all the evidence discovered from the bad search, which is good, but doesn't mean they can not do it

like if they patted him down and found drugs.... that would not be admissible if a bad search
