No way Jose'! The OP says 24 hours! He's going to have to STOP his busy schedule of creating acts of god (killing innocent people via floods, tornadoes, tsunamis, etc.) and log onto this forum!

I read joy of sex, and neither is that one... I doubt anyone could ever produce a work that could overcome your predispositions. So why bother thinking that you could?

My point is that the text does not predate Jesus.

Is Joy of Sex scripture? "All scripture is breathed on by god", the Bible insanely tells us in 2 Timothy 3:16-17.

So that would mean the the scripture that approves of beating slaves to death (as long as the death drags out past a few days) is breathed on by god! Sick! God is one sick puppy!

"All scripture is breathed on by god", the Bible insanely tells us in 2 Timothy 3:16-17, so we can correctly condemn Jesus (who 17+ verses say is god) for any passage in the Bible.

Funny, Last time Jesus texted me, it was to ask about the potential downside of Bitcoin...

    1. I've admired your humor.
    2. I've admired your ability to not blow-up at me, even though I've constantly questioned your religious/world views more often than maybe any human in your entire life has.

Wow, Jesus just texted me as well: "Friendly reminder: don't be a Jew, because I still have to send them all to hell."

Thanks for the reminder, Jesus. Good to see a 2000 year-old guy embrace the new the technology - most old guys don't.

Clearly not. I don't think he (Jesus) ever made a distinction. But you seem to be, and I don't see it as supportable. Why would you care at all given the vagueness of the language? If, as you've asserted, that you don't believe, that's fair, then don't believe, and see what happens. There isn't anything in that sentence that says, but not if you're gay, is there? So why worry about it at all? Seems to be profoundly inclusive. As in, everyone, anywhere, anytime.

Jesus' illogical hatred of gays LEADS TO illogical hatred of gays by his followers - what the heck ELSE do you need to condemn Jesus!?

My point was that likely the premise for the text would actually predate the message of jesus. As in, Paul didn't make any additional conditionality, did he? And if he did, doesn't that truly invalidate his writings? Because, wouldn't that indicate that Paul then started the original equivocations?

ah, so that IS your intention!

to flamebait and troll people till they explode at you with anger and hate.

fascinating that you are seeking such an outcome.

I, on the other hand, seek only to educate people, without insulting and demeaning them. And if I can't reason with them, such Nazis and KKK, I simply ignore them.

I have better thing to do then to argue with & try to educate walls.

What a silly stance to take. If, I am the word" is to believed, and we are his instrument, explain how this couldn't be "breathed by god"? Who are you to determine this?

Yes, it's confusing. If I was in Jesus' all-powerful, and all-loving shoes I'd come down about every decade, at least, to just further educate/explain (like was done in the Sermon on the Mount) what he really meant, to help clarify the Bible. Would you do that, drluggit? I assume that you love humanity enough to do that?

No, I question your religious/world views because I see them as wrong - or at least not as good as what they should be. But you are certainly entitled to your opinion.

    I am a Agnostic/Deist.

I do not believe in a God that listens to prayers or communicates with people.

what gives you the right to judge me? who made you all-powerful and all-knowing?

Perhaps something that actually supports your spurious claim. The only illogic I see is yours.

We HAVE to "judge" - not "judging" lead to the Nazis running rampant - someone needed to more thoroughly judge them - Charlie Chaplin was one voice, but we needed more. When Christians give their kid a book, say it's the foundation of their overall belief system, and that books says to kill gays, yes, we all need to "judge" them as being highly immoral people.

I believe that much of the hatred of gays in America today comes from the Bible.
