If one can create heaven, he can pretty much do as he pleases, and your call outs would be laughable to him

Dont you have to believe that jesus is divine to get into heaven? And then only if you aren't one of them there gays or non virgin brides.

Sorry, the faithful believe and are practiced in bending scripture to fit their perspective as much as they use it to define that very same perspective. The circularity is ... circular?

According to the biblical fairy tale no one gets into heaven. Heaven passes away. After Judgment Day some people get into the golden cube called "New Jerusalem" that's surrounded by a high wall with twelve gates. But they have to be able to pass through one of the gates dedicated to the twelve tribes of Israel. If Gentiles do get in they will probably be slaves to the Jews.

Why are you ignoring the bottom line, Revelation 22:15 (NLT) = "15 Outside the city are the dogs—the sorcerers, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idol worshipers, and all who love to live a lie."

I think Jesus would rather toss him like a bacon in a frying pan untill FS out of desperation commits suicide by jumping out of the pan into the lake of fire to end his misery. But... surprise... fiery lake torture is eternal! :roflol:

Just a point of order: the name Jesus isn't pronounced 'Jeezus', it's pronounced (or should be, being an Iberian name) 'gutteral H-ess-(short 'oo')-oos. Not a lot of people know that.

So you discount Paul's encounter with Christ on the Road to Damascus? Or how he counts all of his Jewish "accomplishments" including being a lead persecutor of Christians, to be "complete rubbish" compared to the living relationship with Messiah?

The only source we have for Paul’s Damascus Road encounter is Paul. And since Paul went on to contradict a lot of established Christians positions at the time and also seemed to act like he didn’t know anything about Jesus except what he himself made up, Paul appears to an objective viewer as being a charlatan who decided he could get way more powerful if he used what little knowledge he had of the cult he was suppressing to instead co-opt it.

Why? What point are you making? Do you believe Jesus wrote Corinthians? You are yet another example of a fundamentalist in muddled reaction. Jesus never said a word about homosexuals. Why should he - it wasn't a concept people went in for then.

That's right. More than that - he would probably forgive them as he did with the woman who was about to be stoned for adultery. (John 8:10) But NO, Jesus is an ***hole according to people like SF.

Then WHY does the Bible talk about homosexuality in so many places, then?

    Yeah, the Old Testament.
But there is a New Testament.

So if I wrote a book about YOU, Ned Lud, and YOU were the main character, and YOU were the main hero, and this book was "breathed on by god" (the Blble says it is, by the way) no less, and this book said to kill gays and that you (god) would not let gays into heaven, so they'd burn in a "lake of fire", YOU would not have the moral obligation to speak up against that barbarity, ever, apparently!? WTF!?

Tells us all we need to know about your level of morality, apparently.

As a Modern Secular Humanist, I'd speak up so much if I was in Jesus' shoes that they'd have removed those barbaric verses CENTURIES ago! "Whoa, Jesus really chastised the gay-hating verses in the Bible -we gotta remove those parts!!" How about YOU, Ned Lud, are you up to the ethical levels, the loving levels, of Modern Secular Humanism?

What if I could show you a verse, in the NT, that says that (because god/Jesus is so hateful, so vile, so unfair) gays don't get into heaven....would you condemn god/Jesus THEN? Surely no verse would exist in the NT that would say such a moral abomination, right Canell? Right? Seeing how Jesus is so loving and compassionate for all peoples, right?

Great, so then of course if they are ethical they'll remove the OT the next time they print their Bible, obviously. I would, but I'm a Modern Secular Humanist, who is not afraid to improve, grow, and change like religious people almost universally are.

I hereby DARE you to tear out those offending verses from your OT. I would do that, because I love humanity - even gays. Do you?

So then we can at least both agree that the Bible is an immoral book, where the authors don't understand right from wrong.

Naw, jesus is just a victim. It's the cult that decided they could make a living convincing people they were sinners and they could be forgiven by giving money to the church and praying for forgiveness.

You're so dense. God and Jesus didn't write anything so how can they be blamed for crap they didn't say or write?

Well, perhaps they don't. Why not?
You have to put some effort to get into the Kingdom of Heaven. It's not a gift, it's a prize.

The 10 Commandments were written by god, and The Bible says that “Every Scripture passage is breathed-out by god”, or that “Every scripture [is] divinely inspired” (depending on the translation of 2 Timothy 3:16-17.)
