How did high-ranking NAZIs react to the abdication of Edward Viii and the election of Neville Chamberlain?

King Edward VIII himself was not a Nazi sympathiser but Mrs. Simpson spied on important documents mislaid by Edward VIII and high-ranking Germans ended up knowing some of Britain's top secrets thanks to the king's carelessness and Winston Churchill appointed him Governor of the Bahamas to remove him from Europe after his abdication but he could have been restored to the throne as a German puppet if Operation Sealion had been successfully carried out. The king's improper amount of friendliness towards the Nazi leadership under Wallis Simpson's bad influence combined with Chamberlain's umbrella diplomacy created false hope for Germany that Britain could be subdued easily.
