Can we all agree that Bachman, Paul are effectively out of it?

I mean, I'd throw in Romney as well, but I know that in order to garner TV time till the general election, we have to have at least two candidates. But, hoping to save some people their campaign donations, can't we all just agree that it will come down to Perry and Romney....and Perry will actually win the republican nomination.

Palin too.. I hope the GOP gets behind Huntsman.. that's their best hope for an actual challenge to Obama.

Perry is a creep.. with a screwy record..

Hell, if you are going to include Palin, you may as well throw in Paris Hilton..I mean they are both media ...um...seekers?
    Huntsman? Please. Get serious.
Mark it down. The republican nomination for the 2012 election will be Rick Perry.

Uh, ... No. We can not all agree on that. Perry's riding a bounce, Romney's falling fast, and the candidates aren't all in the race yet.
    /What's the hurry?

You see, I was point out that those of us who possess common sense realize that bachman, Palin, Huntsman, etc are not really contenders for the Republican nomination.
Obviously I am not saying that those of you who DO think that they have a chance lack common sense.

Ahh. In that case, I recommend you try to catch it. :)
"Common sense" says we've got a long way to go before any votes are cast.

Ah, see, now that is coming pretty close to the line. While I had only said that, in the abstract, common sense dictates that those folks are not real candidates, you have actually assigned the lack of common sense to me. "you try to catch it".
Thus implying that I, in particular, lack common sense.

The election cycle hasn't even gone into full swing, and you're already calling a winner. Yep, that's common sense right there.

I do not think those candidates that you listed would be good for America.

Just as I do not think think that Obama is good for America.

Out of the potential candidates..the only ones I think might be good for America are Ron Paul and Gary Johnson (though I do not know the latter that much).

So the corporate media have made their selection and we must obey?

It's way too early to rule Paul out.... we have more than a year to go...

The media has already rule him out. Just another barrier that Paul has to overcome.

I think he would fair well against Obama, but I am skeptical that he can win the Republican nominee. There are too many big government republicans, neocons, social conservatives, and RINOs in the GOP that it will be hard for a Conservative to win the nomination.

Too true. I think he would do best head-to-head against Obama, but will have a tough time winning the nomination.

No, we cannot all agree on that. I will keep holding on hope for Ron Paul.

Funny ..you dont see Romney guys whining about this and that..claiming everyone is out to screw their guy.
ALL this network bias is perpetrated by Ron Paul of course and his DEEP grassroot support:fart:

The Perry bounce will end during the up coming debate where Romney kicks his butte.

Bachmann and Paul had huge leads in IOWA and some wanted to call the race then.

IF PAUL is to be the guy..then he will have to step up and earn it..
    Just like Romney ..

Perry isn't running for PRESIDENT OF TEXAS..but for THE UNITED STATES.
Someone might ask HIM about how he might lead somewhere else but TEXAS.
maybe in a place where religion and conservatives dont have a majority.??

Where throwing RED meat to sharks isn't the everyday norm.

A simple debate question...feel free to borrow it.

I gotta concur with Bluespade. Calling a nominee when Iowa is still a half a year away doesn't bear any resemblance to "common sense" as I understand it. So if the shoe fits, then go ahead and wear it.

I could see Bachmann potentially being a VP pick. But beyond that, I agree. It will come down to Perry and Romney. And Perry will take it.

    BS

The fact that PAUL is only at 10 % or less doesn't make HIM NEWS.
He has been on EVERY talk show..medias news network that he wanted to go to...He turns down FOX ..mmm ??

The fact that ROMNEY got mentioned means NOTHING.

Paul has a 5-1 advantage here and on every idiotic blog that thinks he is special.
    Romney gets Nothing... especially here.

Paul and his supporters are a bunch of crybabies and its starting to wear thin ..again..

Just like it did last time and the time before.

Go find another straw poll he won with 200 people voting..
I'll wait until the main event.

    That's because Romnery is nothing...politically.

He is weak and useless and stands for nothing but the status quo...which has gotten America into the mess it is in.

On top of everything...one of his favorite books is 'Battlefield Earth' by that absolute kook, L. Ron Hubbard.

Any sane adult who loves that book cannot be all there....imo...either emotionally and/or intellectually.

No, we can rule Ron Paul out. I absolutely guarantee it. He doesn't have the support of the republican party. He doesn't have the support of the democrat party. He doesn't have the support of Corporate america.
Thats about it. Not a real candidate.
