thank you for refusing to explain what makes this incident more heinous than any other incident where kids playing sports are berated. I'll do it for you. Today, the victim du jour of your Democrat party is "transgender". Since this story meets the requirement of that, it becomes newsworthy while kids being berated for being slow, or fat, or screamed that "they suck" isn't important. Was it really so hard to just admit that yourself?

 

1) no adult should be saying such things to a child
2) doesn't matter the context, it is wrong
3) seems you are more interested is suppressing the story and making it political when a child has nothing to do with politics

OK, so now you're going to tell me that the number one demographic watching the women's world cup right now is conversative men? Even worldwide? Newsflash bra, many conversative are fathers with daughters who play sports. No one gives a **** about national athletes. They care about the athletes in their own house. IF you ever have kids, maybe you'll understand.

 

I have two kids, a daughter and a son. Do you have a daughter? Is she an athlete? How do you think she might respond/feel if you told her you don't get a **** about female professional athletes? So what you're saying is, conservative men are provincial and selfish? I think most of their wives have been telling us liberal guys that for years...if you know what I mean...but that aside, why should we pass laws to protect your daughter? Why should I care about the athletes in your house if you don't care about the ones in anyone else's?

 

Yes she's an athlete. You want your daughter to play with men who call themselves girls, 90% of Americans don't. Thats fine, but if you are that passionate about having your daughter play against trans men, create your own league and leave the rest of us alone.

 

I am not really into sports of any kind. Even if I was, I'm not sure what point you are trying to make here. Brittany Griner's been back for a while now. Did your mind reading powers evolve into time traveling ones?? Also your last sentence denies science. Nobody is banning trans athletes, they are mostly banning BIOLOGICAL MEN from WOMEN'S sports (because, you know, this thing called SCIENCE). How about YOU provide us some real world data of when TRANS MEN (you know, people that were born female) were banned from Men's sports. But here's the catch, first you gotta spend about a day finding situations where trans-men were actually in MEN'S sports (no physical advantage for them, you know, because of this amazing thing called SCIENCE.

Well, here again, I didn't really say that's what I was arguing for. My original point, which you've kind of proven, is that conservative men are not concerned with female athletes. They may be concerned about their daughters who are athletes, but I would argue that a conservative parent with a transgendered daughter has a daughter whose an athlete. And they are equally concerned about them as you are about your daugther or me about mine. And the fact that people argue against that person because they want their kid to be able to win a trophy...well it gets a bit beyond the pale in terms of any actual ethical ideal that's being fought for.

I will not pretend to have the answer on whether or not we need separate leagues for transgendered people. I don't know. What I do know is so far, this has not been the problem it's been made out to be. As in, I don't see all the transgendered people dominating all the women's sports.

 

My last sentence has nothing to do with science...As for your claims to "science," what is it about men that you think makes them better at sports? Are all sports an act of strength in your mind? Are all men better at sports than women in your mind? Hmm...so tell me again how conservative men care about female athletes? By insisting they are worse than men by default and so called "science?" Sounds very supportive...

If you cared about female athletes, you would have cared about the fate of Brittney Griner. Tell me, what were thoughts on that? And I don't need a time machine, I'm guessing you have posts about the topic available on this site...
