Another one has dropped. Carly has decided to call it quits. Wonder who else will be announcing the end over the next couple days...

    https://gma.yahoo.com/carly-fiorina...-campaign-202118100--abc-news-topstories.html

Carly Fiorina is suspending her presidential campaign, she announced today.

"While I suspend my candidacy today, I will continue to travel this country and fight for those Americans who refuse to settle for the way things are and a status quo that no longer works for them," Fiorina wrote in a statement released today.

Fiorina gained some traction in the Republican primary last fall following a strong performance in the first televised Republican presidential debate. After participating in the undercard debate, Fiorina saw a jolt to her poll numbers and earned a spot on the main debate stage for several forums thereafter.

She was ultimately unable to sustain the momentum and her poll numbers began to slip.

Yea, Carly made some mistakes she couldn't recover from and it's too bad. She was the one person running (from either side) that I actually thought was the entire package to make a good President.

Agreed, she should be the first choice for whoever becomes the Republican nominee.

So far Carly and Christie.....Gilmore should drop out but he wont.

    That leaves Carson to follow.

I think she had some good ideas but she didn't have the support behind her. It will be interesting to see who the former Christie and Fiorina supporters go to now

Now we are getting down to a manageable amount of candidates. Good, good.

I doubt she will be selected as a potential VP. Maybe she could try for a Cabinet position of some kind

sounds like another book tour candidate. Probably another "FOX news contributor" added to the list.

Carson will stay in a little longer but his heart is not in it. he has been hacking off his staff as well. He seems to be looking to make a deal more than running as a candidate. I think its over for him as far as a presidential run is concerned.

This is all going to come down to Trump, Cruz, and Bush. Crazy election nobody would have predicted. Trump is Trump, Cruz is brilliant, and Bush has the RNC machine behind him. These three will be the last ones standing IMO.

Kasich and Rubio will be around maybe 3-4 more weeks.

She should be on the short list for VP. Not that she will get picked as VP. But she has earned that Right.

What sank her was being not known other than in Californification and parts of NY. She put in her own money and spent a lot of time in NH and Iowa.

Doesn't have the money to get up a ground game to continue on. Goes to show that even throwing in 20-30 mil, wont be enough to make it to Super Tuesday. Not unless one is well known.

what sank her was she came off as a whiner feminist with little personality or sense of humor. She was like the Nurse Ratchet of the campaign trail. conservatives have had enough of that over the years from the left so running with that style from the right was never going to generate massive support. she would have been better off running as a moderate democrat.

Its kind of the same thing sinking Carson right now. He complains and has low energy while at the same time trys to convince everyone how positive he is. It doesnt work.

Now we look at the two prime candidates....

Trumps genius is that he tapped into.....PISSED OFF. He doesn't complain... he fights. Fights against the press, the establishment, other candidates, donors......hell he fights against his own voters. he gets away with it because conservatives are pissed as well. But he walks it like he talks it and the base is sick to death of politicians. This plays well in the general and its why he has massive crossover appeal. he doesnt back down and he sticks to his guns even if it doesnt gel 100% with hard core social conservatives. He gets respect and voters trust him.

Cruz votes are all about the message. It appeals to really strict conservatives in the base who are sick to death of RINOs. Cruz is a sneaky politician but he is on the side of conservatism so its OK with them. Cruz is kind of a Primary only candidate. He can do well in a primary but in a general.....most voters dont know the difference between conservatism and liberalism anyways. I talk to conservatives all the time who are supposedly hard core but they are liberal as hell. I call it selective conservatism. None the less cruz has tapped into the base. If he would not have defeated amnesty he would not even be in this race. Thats his major accomplishment for voters.

Fiorina and carson have never really done anything for conservatives other than talk and they were not very good at it.

Christi is out because he betrayed conservatives right before the 2012 election.

Rand Paul should still be in but i think cruz and trump kind of buried his support and chances of a good run.
