Today’s cartoon, by Elisabeth McNair: “It appears that the vaccines are effective and the humans are returning to work. If things go as planned, we’ll have the run of the house by the end of the year.”
In terms of personality/disposition, what is an omega? Someone who neither tries to take command of a situation, nor takes anyone else's commands? That sounds more like an anarchist.
There are more spiders in houses than people realize. Most spiders are beneficial - they catch other bugs. .
. If anyone here has a young daughter who loves cats... she would probably love the old Disney movie called: The Three Lives of Thomasina Quotes: Thomasina: [first lines; voiceover] Yes, I am Thomasina. This story's all about me. I'm a self-made cat, and here's the house I live in with the McDhui family, whom I'd adopted when they first came here. They started off by calling me Thomas, but when they, well, got to know me better, they changed that to Thomasina. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0057579/ .
Yep. I had to clean out the cellar spiders last summer, there were so many. But they absolutely did a wonderful job of nabbing all manner of insects (and each other).
Your avatar photo reminds me of a Texas revolutionary flag. On the Texas battle of San Jacinto revolutionary flag... Lady Liberty only has one breast exposed. http://wheretexasbecametexas.org/flags-texas-revolution/ .
We have hobo spiders. They're indistinguishable from some other common, harmless ones without a microscope. All hobo 'suspects' get squashed (if the cat doesnt get to them first).
OK, I'll admit it. There are spiders, and who knows what else, living in the post and beam structure of my cathedral ceiling. And since that's a good 20+ feet up there, they can colonize all they want. The get below that 9 foot mark, and either the vacuum or the cat gets them.
Yes, but your Lady Liberty wasn't a pioneer fighting in the Anglo Texas wilderness! Btw... parts of what is now northern Texas once belonged to France [part of the "Louisiana Purchase" Jefferson bought from Napoleon.] .
Regarding cats and dogs I must be a dog person. I've had good natured cats and aggressive bad natured cats. I've had good natured dogs and bad natured aggressive dogs. The difference is dogs will be aggressive and unpredictable with strangers or other dogs. Not me. However I have had a pet cat attack me or family members for no reason. That I can figure out anyway.
Mine aren't too well socialized as I don't get many visitors, but fortunately they are just either shy or tolerant of others.
Actually I've had two. Both came to me as kittens...but obviously not socialized. One would attack my two year old as h slept. That was a strange cat.
Mine was symbolic of all the poor, oppressed in France. Best Buy of the century, nearly as good as Alaska from the RUSSIANS.
