Controlling speech [censorship] is the same as controlling thinking. If you control thinking, then instead of your ideas dying [as most certainly do (and should)], you will die instead.

Perhaps we should consider the value of vetting our thinking instead of allowing others to take their manifestations to task...and live to think another day.

What you have is a tool used by Marxists to control the narrative. They publish what they wish to publish on social media but ignore any responses by those who disagree with them. In that way they are able to shut down the opposition. How many times have your posts been ignored or challenged for debate? It's a way of letting your opinion's die on the vine. If you do challenge them on these grounds, you are told you are a radical, homophobe, misogynist, a cult member of MAGA or some other name and your opinion doesn't count. Some will even put you on ignore or complain to the moderators to see if you can be censured. Debate is just not debatable.

Some people are so attached to a particular narrative that they see others [their thinking] as a literal existential threat and are therefore willing to do nearly anything to avoid the reality that one day they must succumb to the natural order of things [change].

We are watching this in real time [at scale] as China continues its implosion.
