Challenge for Atheists: Why do only humans get married?

Why do only humans, and no other specie on Earth, get married:

In a church?
With their local community, family, and friends in attendance bearing witness?
With their local Priest representing God's Word?
Requiring the bride be virgin upon the Honeymoon?
Promising a lifelong relationship between Man and Wife?
Barring and excluding sexually perverted homosexuals from slandering and disgracing True Christianity?

 

Because marriage is a human idea that makes sense. Compared to other species, we have a very long lifespan, and one that doesn't produce a large population in a short period of time. Making people stay together to help raise the child, is smart.

And last time I checked, the priest doesn't hand you a marriage liscense, that would be the state.

 

Only True Christians under GOD have the power to recognize TRUE marriages. All other marriages are false, and not truly marriages at all. The state is a COPY of True Christian morality. This is why the state wants to marry queers, and pretend this is "marriage".

Okay here are the list of Biblical marriage so using your view god changed his mind and decided some were no longer acceptable save one form?

And if we include pagan and new forms of marriage this did include in some cases marriage between two members of the same gender and in the Native American cultures two-spirit people could marry the same gender and it was accepted.

Of course now there are modern options not getting married at all and open marriage among other forms like a bisexual having a legal spouse and a lover of the same gender.

 

Tell you what, whenever a homosexual couple is married, if they get struck by lightening on the way out, then I'll be more inclined to believe you. Until that happens, god's also going to let it happen.

God gave TRUE CHRISTIANS the first form of marriage. Other, lesser peoples stole this, tried to copy it, failed, and that is how other perversions of marriage spread throughout the world. Only the TRUE CHRISTIANS have preserved marriage intact, today. No other group of people have kept true to the purest form of marriage, which is monogamy, and committed lifelong love between MAN AND WOMAN.

God intended this, and True Christians have preserved its pure form.

People have been getting married in places where Christianity has not existed for ages. That is what the state is copying. If it also happens to agree with your Christian marriage, fine, but if it does not, then it wasn't a marriage to begin with. Marriage is a word, words are defined by usage, the usage of the word marriage transcends Christianity, therefore, marriage transcends Christianity.

And Christ Himself is a bastard because He's said to be from the House of David, who just like most of the biblical patriarchs had more than just one wife? I'm a Christian and live in a heterosexual monogamous marriage that I intend to stay in for the rest of my life, but my husband is an agnostic. Does my marriage count? What about Pastors who got divorced? Does the failure of their marriage tell us they're not true Christians?

Hardly anyone is actually a virgin on their honeymoon. 95% of people have sex before marriage. And lots of those people will end up divorced. And they do it because only humans see the point in silly rituals like this that are largely BS. It's also not just a religious tradition, or unique to one specific religion. It's just a social construct that has been shared amongst our species in order to secure breeding/care taking options. It's a product and mechanism of evolution. Point?
