No . . . the Obama administration investigated itself and declared itself innocent. The in-the-tank-for-Obama Mainstream Media gave their president a free pass on everything with the unspoken but quite obvious intent of everyone running out and voting for Barack Obama in 2012. Then the ONLY genuine investigative reporter working for any of the Big Three was maneuvered into leaving CBS when she pointed out too forcefully that all her efforts at deep investigations had been shut down or diverted either by this administration or by . . . the in-the-tank-for-Obama networks themselves. Oh and the political director of CBS News works part time for one of the biggest LEFTWING e-zines in the nation.

The problem is Obama supporters who have plugged their ears to criticism of Obama.

They are not aware that he has ever done anything wrong and never will know,

Well at least you don't have the political courage to vote your opinions. You do have the one trait required to be a liberal, acceptance of rank hypocrisy. Lets see if you can dodge as well:

What is your favorite Hillary Clinton accomplishment and why do you think that makes her a good choice for president?

They just don't care. Jonsa was telling me earlier he is fine with Obama giving out billions in taxpayer money to campaign donors. He said something along the lines of "well it is only a few billion so who cares?" The leftist is willing to lie, willing to dodge the obvious, willing to demagogue the ignorant that they dumbed down in school...whatever it takes for power and control. Look at the pro Russian Putinbots on PF. Willing to believe anything. Willing to be fooled and spread propaganda. You dont think the leftists here arent the same people?

Yes I do remember the cards, and I thought it was the right approach. I remember the few guys at Abu Graib gaining the spotlight of the media for months when they were but just a few of the millions who have fought in Iraq and Afghan over the years. That was shameful, on both the Abu Graib perpetrators' part, and on the MSM for making it the lead story for months. But when I was in the service, during my last days, I did say that we need more faces. The troops need to be briefed on who their enemy is, and we need to throw out the myriad safety briefings on how to wear a seatbelt, etc., and more briefings explaining who we are fighting and why. But ofc, I would understand how the enemies of the US do not want the faces or actions of the murderers who attack us to be known...

Which terrorists do we have in custody? Oh right, none of them, it is far from over, and if Hillary runs, it will come up again and again, regardless of how little you might care...

There has always been partisanship and always will be.

But Obama voters have hit a new low never seen in my lifetime.

These folks will defend anything be does, never admit any wrong doing and use any twisted absurd argument they can think of.

As other posters have said, the GOP will certainly try to make it a campaign issue (again) if Hillary is nominated in 2016. It's a bad horse to bet on though, just from a narrative standpoint, You have to be pretty mired in politics, conservative politics especially, to achieve immediate resonance. Otherwise, you have to explain where Benghazi is, who dies, why they died, what the supposed "scandal" is, who's involved, etc.

Pretty complex for the fickle American voter, as opposed to, say...the President getting blown by an intern.

    - - - Updated - - -

Do you not remember the Bush-era? Pretty sure justifying a pointless quagmire, which thousands of Americans died needlessly in, was much worse. Conservatives defended that war, and Bush, unshakably. Funny how now you all try to sweep it under the rug.

I couldn't have had anything to do with the fact that she embarrassed herself and her superiors by allowing herself to be punked by a mercenary peddling a fake story.

Funny how you decided to forget about that. Of course, when the story originally ran, you couldn't shout loud enough.

You ought to change your handle. Global Citizen doesn't fit when you post this sort of parochialism.

The Abu Ghriab scandal wasn't something that was made up or exaggerated by left wing media in the US.

It was a global scandal, and it was front page news around the world for months. Mainly because the Bush adminstration tried so hard to pretend it wasn't a big deal, tried to obstruct the investigation into it, and then tried to manufacture a distraction for its domestic political base (the nearly equally shamful false story of the death of Pat Tillman, a genuine hero who was made into a prop for Fox Noise).

Any journalist or pundit can be punked. An entire nation of them got punked when they essentially endorsed Barack Obama for the presidency twice and then there was that uplifting time when most of them were against the proposed first strike against Iraq until Bush offered them a host of embedded reporting slot bribes. The nation saw pretty much all of them flush their ethics down the toilet on that one. So punking them is doable.

It wasn't worth the months of coverage. What purpose did those months serve? Was there some widespread abuse of Iraqi prisoners that the coverage would uncover and thus serve humanity by preventing such abuse? No, Abu Graib was an anomaly within the military, that continued focus on served no other purpose but to undermine the US mission in Iraq, which has been the goal of MSM, Hollywood, and Democratic politicians from day one, and damn any consequences to victory.

First of all, Abu Ghraib was not a particularly isolated incident. The Bush adminstration would not only torture prisonors, but it actually manufactured an elaborate and very tortured defense for it.Prisonors were "rendered" to torture chamber in third party countries, and right wing media defended it and celebrated it.

Rumsfeld and his enforcer Stephen Cambone went to extraordinary lengths to hide the facts in the case, and to make sure that the guilty got away, and threw the innocent under the bus (which would be a pattern with the Bush crowd).

It got months of coverage all over the world. Which had nothing to do with the MSM, Democrats or Hollywood. I happened to be in Europe when this scandal broke, and the stain on our reputation was considerable.(which was already bad enough because the world saw through Cheney and Rumsfeld's rationalizations and knew that the case for war was a fraud).

Until Abu Ghraib, Americans didn't torture people.

Now, we had an Adminstration and a conservative media machine that not only tortured people but celebrated it.

The US mission in Iraq was off the rails before the first shot was fired. It was poorly concieves ,sold on a fraud, understaffed, and its managers believed their own propoganda.

From the day the invasion started, things went wrong. The media did not notice, because they had been handed a shiny distraction called Jessica Lynch, a ready made Pentagon myth of manufactured heroism, that kept the media distracted while the US army got lost in a sandstorm out side Baghdad, and once they got there the country dissolved into chaos.

The mainstream media did not hype an imaginary threat in the wrong country. But it played megaphone to those who did. The mainstream media was not responsible for Paul Bremmer, Abu Ghraib, or Ahmed Chalabi (I bet you don't even know who that is!).

No, the disaster was made in the White House and the Pentagon, which is where the responsibility lies.

What say we enjoy an ideological and political -- OOOPS! -- moment as it seems that some people on the Left are still living in a fantasy world regarding Barack Obama and HIS hand in ethically nefarious activities:

Notice the date of the Washington Post article? Notice that it is NOT by a rightwing source? Notice that leftwingers are doing their very best NOT to ask Obama any meaningful questions regarding anything he signs off on?

Hey! You're the one who made up the line about how CBS got rid of the only journalist the was doing "serious investigative work" on Benghazi.

You just conveniently forgot to mention that she left after her" serious investigative work" included falling for an outright fraud!!!!!!!!!

I'm not the one with a consistancy problem here!

IF "running out the clock".....meaning block, delay, and being totally uncooperative is so valued by the Democrats as how to responsibly deal with scandals and important issues like the IRS scandal, Fast & Furious, and Benghazi.......then I can't wait for the Republicans to get back in power. We'll see how much they value it then. Should be a lot of fun!! :) :)

Krauthammer is probably right if politics was all that is at issue but letting the issue go away because of stonewalling and media water carrying simply demonstrates the tactic works. I'd push it till the end of time.
