And as usual with your facts is you encompass all religious on the right Hey, FA, where is your comment on the muslims that I mentioned? I posted those sites, why no comment? Oops, you would rather engage in selective hate, and not mention those that would slice your head clean off your shoulders
simple.... I would not want to be raped against my will, so I know others would feel the same... common sense
I did not say that, read it again "Hey, FA, where is your comment on the muslims that I mentioned? I posted those sites, why no comment? Oops, you would rather engage in selective hate, and not mention those that would slice your head clean off your shoulders" give me a link to the post your talking about, I will read it and reply... .
I already did, try reading next time http://www.startribune.com/politics/statelocal/169054696.html BTW, this is what you said, and you didn't say some on the right, you just said right which is to infer all of them
that is not a link to your post, I never saw it, so how could I read it... and you can't even find it to post a link to it? I thnk the same of Muslims trying to get their religious law into government as I do Christians doing it... it's unAmerican and should not be allowed
you need to follow along, that was in reply to a post replying to the post I quoted and even there I was very specific that I was only referring to the fanatical group known as the "Religious Right", not everyone on the right .
And that does not answer the question. Why is rape "morally" wrong from the atheist standpoint? I didn't ask you why you don't rape.
I did answer the question, Atheists don't need a book to tell them rape is wrong, it's common sense are you saying Christians don't rape because it would cost them 50 shekels and they would have to marry their victim for life? http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Deuteronomy 22:28-29&version=NIV
You just said the bible basically condones rape, so your statement here makes no sense. You are running from the question. So again, What makes rape morally wrong from an atheist standpoint?
I already told you... it's common sense.... but to those that don't have common sense that is probably confusing to them
Don't have to be God to see that. Men are made to be with women and vice versa. Men and men cant reproduce.
Lord knows we keep trying though People can throw words like "perverted" and "abnormal" around all they want, but the debate should be focused on why exactly it would be a bad thing to legally recognise that same-sex couples exist. In my experience if something is called "abnormal" it's usually awesome.
How do you justify claiming it is morally wrong to rape someone when human beings along with everything else are just a random occurence? On what authority do you base this on other than man made laws? - - - Updated - - - And you know this how?
"Men are made to be with women". Who says? "Men and men can't reproduce". That's good! With more men on men we have a better chance for population control, which is a necessary natural occurrence in the animal kingdom.
I'm not an atheist, but atheist morality is based on the principles of empathy, logical consistency and a desire to maintain social order - "if I don't want this to happen to me or someone I love, why would I do it myself?". If the fear of eternal damnation is the only thing stopping someone from raping another person, it's a little concerning to say the least. Only sociopaths would think solely in those terms. Most of us are born with natural empathy that extends even beyond family - a way of ensuring our collective survival.
Like I said in another thread, I will see your wishful right, and raise you my actual right. You leave my 2A rights alone, I may back your gay right. Till then, all bets are off and I will fight you tooth and nail.
You see, young man. Men have penises, women have vaginas. When a man places his penis in a vagina, this is called sexual intercourse & unless the woman(or man) is infertile, on birth control, etc... 9 months later a baby comes out. Men who place their penises in another man's anus(built for exit only, no lubrication), no baby will ever come out of the man's anus...if they do it often, they are likely to end up damaging their anus and winde up crapping on themselves every time they think that it's going to be a fart, it makes them more likely to catch STD's such HIV. So there ya go. It's really that simple.
Absolute nonsense pulled straight out of a Christian fundamentalist anti-gay website - probably the same ones that claim gay men have to wear diapers. It's so unlike our lives it's laughable. You people have absolutely no idea. Anal sex is a wonderful thing that feels absolutely incredible (due to sensitive nerve endings and the prostate), if done safely and correctly. Unless your top partner happens to be a horse, you are not going to find yourself unable to control the muscles in that area anymore. You can talk about the higher risks of HIV associated with unsafe anal sex all you want, but the whole incontinence thing is ludicrous and completely false. Lol.
To help the little tike, bwk, with the tutorial on the birds and the bees & the birds & the birds: Snippet from WebMD: "Is Anal Sex Safe? There are a number of health risks with anal sex, and anal intercourse is the riskiest form of sexual activity for several reasons, including the following: The anus lacks the natural lubrication the vagina has. Penetration can tear the tissue inside the anus, allowing bacteria and viruses to enter the bloodstream. This can result in the spread of sexually transmitted infections including HIV. Studies have suggested that anal exposure to HIV poses 30 times more risk for the receptive partner than vaginal exposure. Exposure to the human papillomavirus (HPV) may also lead to the development of anal warts and anal cancer. Using lubricants can help some, but doesn't completely prevent tearing.(*) The tissue inside the anus is not as well protected as the skin outside the anus. Our external tissue has layers of dead cells that serve as a protective barrier against infection. The tissue inside the anus does not have this natural protection, which leaves it vulnerable to tearing and the spread of infection. (*) The anus was designed to hold in feces. The anus is surrounded with a ring-like muscle, called the anal sphincter, which tightens after we defecate. When the muscle is tight, anal penetration can be painful and difficult. Repetitive anal sex may lead to weakening of the anal sphincter, making it difficult to hold in feces until you can get to the toilet. However, Kegel exercises to strengthen the sphincter may help prevent this problem or correct it. (*) The anus is full of bacteria. Even if both partners do not have a sexually-transmitted infection or disease, bacteria normally in the anus can potentially infect the giving partner. Practicing vaginal sex after anal sex can also lead to vaginal and urinary tract infections."
Oh give it a rest, anything that you don't agree with is fundementalist Christian to you it seems... The medical community is just lying when they say anal sex is the most dangerous sexual activity, right? Lol! This guy is ridiculous...
