And since your money is free you should have limitations on what you can spend it on. Ever been to a "ghetto"? Projects maybe? Walked inside some of those places? Some of these people live in the projects paying 50 bucks a month in rent due to government subsidies yet have a 50 inch flat screen, surround sound stereo and a SUV on 26 inch rims. That is a problem. Now I will be honest, a good amount of these people get their income from other sources besides free government money, such as drug dealing. However, I do see a HUGE problem with the fact that someone somehow cannot afford to pay for their own food or proper rent yet can afford a television set bigger than most working people. I grew up in the "ghetto" for much of my life, so before you even try to debunk me I know EXACTLY what I am talking about. This is one of those cases where I can say "I have friends that I know who..." and actually mean it.
people can own a mansion and then become poor, maybe they bought the tv when they had money, maybe they lost their job because of a down economy, there could be many reasons, no reason to assume the worst
Your logic is exactly why these people are laughing at us while spending our free money. I lived in this neighborhood for 10 years of my life growing up. The short answer is no. Some yes, some may have had these things before hand, SOME. But most? Not a chance. They live off of the government, sell drugs, refuse to get a real job, and buy a Cadillac. Again I won't say all, but half? Even more probably...are living immoral lives and we are letting them do it. There is no assuming the worst. I lived right along side these people for years. I know exactly what they are doing and you are naive if you believe otherwise. They aren't stupid, they KNOW that the government thinks just like you do. That's why they get away with this.
People being murdered over money is hardly a political issue, it has happened long before the US existed and will happen when the US doesn't exist any more.
That would surely help. That would crush their main source of income thats for sure. We should also have much tighter regulations on these welfare recipients. Drug tests weekly, investigations, social workers visiting their property. Also make it mandatory that you MUST be looking for a job and you MUST take whatever job is available whether you want it or not. If you think you are too good to work the McDonalds drive thru window then too bad. Take it or we cut your welfare completely. Make drug testing mandatory and that work cut welfare to about a third of them. Allow a social worker to visit them every once and awhile and that would cut about another third. I would love to see them explain how last week they had nothing and this week they suddenly have a nice car and a 50 inch flat screen. But they have no job...
