According to you in the Stan collymore topic. The media celeb views are irrelevent. So anything the Europol Chief has said, can be ignored.

Europol chief Rob Wainwright sounds like a character is some silly sitcom. What point exactly are you trying to make here, dixon, and why should anyone care?

Oh, but I see, looking back, that the Zionist Disinformation Office started the thread, so he was no doubt a member of El Qaida or the Freemasons. Aren't you a totally tedious gang!

Nooooo, the fact that he is a celebrity is irrelevant. I made no comment upon his views. And a Europol Chief isnt a celebrity, he is instead the chief of Interpol.

Have no idea what you mean by trolling but my comments are always relevant to the post I am responding to. Seems youve run out of opinions on the topic of discussion, so you fall back to your favorite topic, ME!

Jihad..... There's been a Jihad on Salman Rushdie since 19canteen but he's still wandering about. What even is Jihad these days, a lot of sweetie wives making a noise about nothing...who cares?

A bit loose with "Europeans" also, btw.

    Wishful thinking.

Salman Rushdie also has a phalanx of bodyguards wherever he goes. That will be the case for the rest of his life.

Salman Rushdie should move to Salt Lake City and become a Mormon. Maybe a Jehovah's Witness. Travel door to door incognito pushing The Watch Tower.

What's the difference between Muslims, Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses? I don't think there is a difference.

Wainwright was talking about the Toulouse gunman and French authorities obviously dropped the ball and failed to take preventative measures. Merah had travelled to Afghanistan to obtain training from Islamic militants and he was also on the "no-fly" list maintained by US authorities. The profile of the gunman is similar to the July 7 bombers but the French government assured the public that he was not part of any wider network to reduce fears of further attacks.

Only Islam and muslims advocate fighting against and killing the unbelievers. Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses do not.

Extremism is extremism. However, another poster mentioned the extremist, almost fanatical tendencies in some US temperament regardless of religion. The difference is, US has the means to carry out direct action where it chooses. Jihadists are the poor man of extremism and although what people say in public and what they say in private are different, most of their own peers disagree with their stated aims to the extent they have no practical support far less ability to perpetuate massive attack.

Rushdie wasn't jihaded, he was fatwa'd. Not that it makes any difference. The fatwa was recalled. I think it's been reissued. He knows the culture though and is a very persuasive man, so I expect it will be recalled again when he is finished sparking the debate it was his intent to provoke.

I like you Viv so I will be gentle. The most important fatwa issued against Salman Rushdie for his Satanic Verses was issued by Iran's Ayatollah Khomenei. He issued the fatwa and then died. His death means that the fatwa he issued can never be recalled. Never.

I don't like you, so don't bother being gentle. I understood the Iranian government lifted the fatwa in 1998, however a few nutters disliked that and declared it still valid and there was some recent talk of it stirring up again.

What type of "measures" would have prevented the attacks short of 24 / 7 surveillance of probably 100s, 1000s? of French Muslims that fit this guys profile
