Chile/Holland prepare for the 400th anniversary of Kaap Hoorn/Cabo de Hornos

    Great!

Maybe this can be used to strenghten relations with South America in general, since it shows are common history! About half a millenium of excellent relations. Of course, the only ones -- once again (!) spoiling all of this are the British with their inane claim on the Malvinas.

Nice trivia, and it shows why I think the Low Countries are one of the greatest regions in the entire world, and of the most beautiful:

    Dutch city of Hoorn

I swear to god, I'm gonna come over to that godforsaken kip of a country of yours and give you a piece of my mind one day.

How about you start having a little humility about the horrors of your colonial past? <- inserts random slagging of country to demonstrate your BS.

BTW: You should have mentioned the NL's overseas territories:

Netherlands Aruba Part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands; full autonomy in internal affairs.
Netherlands Antilles Autonomous country within the Kingdom of the Netherlands; full autonomy in internal affairs.

Here's a full listing, so get a grip of yourself

    http://www.nationsonline.org/oneworld/territories.htm

How on earth you claimed on another thread that you wasn't persistently posting anti-UK posts is beyond me. You do it with the similar frequency to the sun rising.

It's a pathetic small nation syndrome, you live in a country no one cares about; without the EU you'd be un-noticed by much of the world. This attitude manifests itself in a blinkered support of the EU and an unbalanced view of the UK (your superior northern neighbour).

Seriously, I thought you were already there, Leffe. So which EU country are you in (just curious, I promise not to use that info against you)?

That's because the sun never sets on the British Empire:)

Ps: I would feel special if I were you!

    Haha, good one!

About Belgium being split between NL, DE, LX & FR, it could happen. Unfortunately, I've lately heard the Belgians have come to some sort of agreement to form a new government:(;)

Btw, NL is a great country. If only I didn't have to drive through Belgium's crappy highways, I'd be visiting more often!

Ps: I kid, janpor. I understand you have a few problems in BE, we all have, but please fix your highways!

When I used to driver through, you could see the sign for the Dutch boarder, and the last thing that would happen before you crossed into the NL was two massive pot holes in the Belgian motorway, then smooth tarmac immediately as you drive on Dutch roads.

I'm surprised the Belgains haven't got EU funding to fix their godaweful roads yet. There's no bloody wonder their motorways are 100% lit, you need them to avoid the holes and drunk drivers.

The pot holes are still there! Very dangerous motorways indeed. Better have your tires checked before crossing.

Now that I think of it, might be a way to slow down possible invaders. Wasn't very effective during the last invasion though...

Heh. Indeed, once the Nazi's had negotiated the motorways, the Ardenes was a breeze :)

Indeed. One has to admire the sailing spirit of Brits. As Nazi tanks were never designed to cross the Channel. And no tunnel back then!

By the way. What a disappointment to see that pavefrance.com has turned into a rather neutral site:neutral:

But back to Belgium. And the charge against the anti-Britishism of one of its rare representant on this forum.

As long as you don't act on that offer to come give him a piece of your mind, I think there is not much to worry about - tires included.

I would not like to think janpor ought to be exiled under the Furious Fifties to escape your vengeful wrath:-D

Leffe, ... I'm merely playing/teasing you. And here I was thinking it couldn't be any more obvious?

However, when it comes down on this Falklands/Malvinas mess -- I wouldn't have any problem standing with the UK it they wouldn't be a total obstructionist and give Gibraltar back to Spain. Otherwise, I don't see why the entire should have to suffer over a couple of rocks with sheep on it in the middle of Atlantic.
