    the Chinese are good traders
    Americans export less than Germans
I am a German who wants the victory of Ukraine over Russia

what do english speaking people think about it?
I think that the Russian language can no longer be taught because of all this

Good that you want Ukrainian victory over Russia. There are many English speaking countries besides the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland , India…plus about 20 others. Not all are of the same mind. India is on the fence in their support of Russia.

I don't understand what the first three points have to do with eachother... but if the topic at hand is how to punish Russia, it might be best to avoid punishing all Russian people for the actions of their dictatorial government. I would've thought a German would be familiar with the reasons why...

There's lots of news propaganda that makes Russia look like the evil aggressor, with Ukraine being innocent and vulnerable and trying to defend itself. Whether that assessment is mostly true or not, don't ask me here. Sort of yes, but it's not entirely a simple yes.
For some strange reasons the Left-leaning people in the U.S. support Ukraine much more, whereas many of the conservatives seem to be a little bit more ambivalent about it. There's a small faction of those idealists on the Left protesting saying they are in favor of "peace", but being unclear on exactly what that would mean for U.S. policy.

The US takeover of Ukraine in Feb 2014 sounds a lot like Neoliberalism, so I didn't expect the Democratic Party to fully support it, but they/we do.

While the Republicans are split over the belief that Ukraine should join the West,

I don't see why the Democrats support the Westernization of Eastern Ukraine.

Oops, I was in a hurry, just going out, so I'll try to rewrite post 12:

The US takeover of Ukraine in Feb 2014 is a neoconservative move -
that we know we are better so we are taking them over because soon they will experience our better system too.

I agree it seems odd that the Democrats would have the neoconservative faction after the disastrous one that controlled the G W Bush administration.

I think you're not giving enough credit to the Ukrainian people who very clearly wanted Ukraine to be looking more towards the West and the EU for trade and influence. By that time they've had their fill of Russian trade influence and propaganda there was a reason why they voted for their sovereignty back in 91.

The people were mad they had a right to be mad.
Yushenko did a 180 pivot against all the things that he got elected to do and when a few people went out to protest he killed them s*** snowballed from there.

Crimea voted 96% in favor of joining Russia, and video footage attests to that
Polls in Donbas also had over 90% in favor of joining Russia

If you ask Joe Average American if he believes politicians, he usually will reply 'of course not'.

He will pay more attention to Joe the Plumber than to Joe the Brandon.

Yet, like magic, when Joe Bidden was reading off the teleprompter on Feb 24 2022, and narrowed his eyes as he does when he is lying, pretty much everyone believed him.

I need some help understanding that puzzle.

That depends whether you ask the Right or Left, and most Americans are not familiar enough about this to have any opinion. Most of the American public does not have any idea about what the importance of trade balance or exports are.

Personal opinion is that the Chinese are poorer, or have many poorer people, so they can produce things more cheaply. American workers and business cannot really compete with that. Chinese are also much more industrious and harder-working than the average American and have less government-imposed burdens on industry, for example labor protections and environmental regulations.
