China forcing birth control devices into muslim women, doctor claims

China is forcing muslim women in the province of Xinjiang to have intrauterine devices (IUDs) put in their uteruses, or at least that is what one female gynecologist claims she participated in.

An intrauterine device, for anyone who does not know, is a semi-permanent means of preventing pregnancy.

In a recent interview, an exiled doctor from the Uyghur ethnic minority provided a vivid account of forced sterilizations carried out in Xinjiang, China.

"On some days there were about 80 surgeries to carry out forced sterilizations," Gülgine, 47, said in an interview with The Sankei Shimbun, according to Japan Forward.

Gülgine was a gynecologist in China's autonomous Xinjiang region, which is largely popular by the Uyghur Muslim minority. The doctor, who left China for Istanbul in 2011, admitted her own role in the procedures at a hospital in Urumqi, the capital of Xinjiang.

"A lot of women were put on the back of a truck and sent to the hospital," Gülgine said. "The procedure took about five minutes each, but the women were crying because they did not know what was happening to them."
In the interview, which took place in Turkey, Gülgine showed intrauterine devices (IUDs) and said "these devices were inserted into women's wombs" as a method of forced infertility.

Gülgine added to reporters that forced sterilization has persisted in Xinjiang since around 1980, one year after China instated its "one child policy." But the number of women sterilized in the region has increased since 2014, according to Chinese government data cited by Japan Forward.​

It's not exactly like the goods produced by slave labor have little stamps affixed to them that say "made by slave labor".

Although sometimes consumers have found little notes hidden in the items written in Chinese, that when translated are basically pleas for help. Although the people who run these factories have gotten better about checking all the consumer goods before they leave the factory to make sure none of these notes get out. There's been a couple of embarrassing incidents in the past and they are determined not to let these notes make it out again.

 

The Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act would require U.S. companies to guarantee they do not use imprisoned or coerced workers from the predominantly Muslim region of Xinjiang, where academic researchers estimate the Chinese government has placed more than 1 million people into internment camps.

Kraft Heinz claims that the company’s suppliers are audited by a third party and that the audits have not identified “any issues.” Mullen declined to name the auditing firm.

Complying with the new bill could be costly to companies, especially in the textile industry, because Slave Labor is cheaper than paid labor.

I think we shouldn’t do business at all with a nation who uses slave or near slave labor. But greedy corporations, politicians, and consumers either don’t care or would rather put blinders on so they don’t have to see the truth of what they are supporting. I’d rather see the economy decline greatly than continue to do business with China. We need to slow down consumptions day energy use anyway.

 

Most Favored Nation Status was always for fellow democracies with similar environmental standards. Giving this preferential status to China was clearly a mistake that needs to be revoked. We tried it, it's been a disaster, and we need to end it as we are funding their military buildup specifically being built to challenge us.

 

I suppose it is better than slaughtering them which is what China probably really wants to do.

lol salve labor, dude, their wage raise from $1000/year to $14000/year. go look at china GDP/cap for the past 30 year, somehow these slave labor able to send 300,000 chinese student to US study every YEAR. international student tuition is about 3-5 time higher than americans. no one force anyone, they work cause they need $$ for better live. Now company move their factory to vietnam/africa/india, cause its cheaper there now

as for xinjian cotton. lol, 90% cotton field are mechanized. guess where they bought machine from? most bought from John Deere an american company

right another far right news? have you been to Xinjian? my parents and their friends went there at least twice for the past 5 years, all from america. have you? now there might be some prisoners etc, but heck i wonder how they got the 2 millions number without ever step a foot in the region.

there are alot ppl from west went to xinjian, unlike NK, alot westerners can go there, and seen whats going on there. i rather belief ppl who went there then someone who never been there.

did you see the date? its stamp in 2018/19, before the force labor news come out in 2021. her video was on there since 2017, before Xinjin thing was even on the news. i'm guessing the israel guy is also working for ccp, even though his channel is multi years old. why dont you just go there and check it out yourself. my parents and their friend vacation there for the past 5 years, they didn't see any forced labor in cotton field , just regular ppl doing normal things. the irony is none of these accuser of cotton forced labor ever travel there, i would expect its pretty easy to get some pic of force labor in Opened cotton field. like ppl in chain or armed cop on the field? i mean if cotton forced labor is so rampant, its pretty easy to find some photo for proof, given the huge outdoors opened cotton field . especially given foreigner allow to travel there, unlike in NK.

 

Based on my past experiences living in a totalitarian communist state, I find it easy to believe China is doing this.

My point is just as strong as yours, just pure opinions, no facts.

 

depend which country you lived, there are big different between say saudi vs china. if you never went to china or live there, i doubt you know it well. there are plenty expat living in china, and foreigner has access to it. yet i cannot find a single actual video on these force labor. consider its pretty easy to take some pic/video of a open field such as cotton farm. some news even use a fake pic of forced labor in their news. most china agriculture are mechanized, and the largest export of these machine are from John Deere, follow by EU/Japan. China has its own machinery, but not as accurate/efficient as western machines.

at least this guy and many others went there, and seen whats going on.
