So China has apparently learned that threats work against Biden. All it takes is ownership of nukes and some strong words to make people of the free world cower into submission and allows authoritarian regimes to grow.

I challenge people to stop buying Chinese products as much as possible. I know it’s hard but we better get used to financially supporting democracies rather than authoritarians.

We should be giving them as much weaponry as they want. But they need to keep their mouths shut about it until they see a Chinese buildup. Then announce the weaponry they'll be facing on the island in a last effort of deterrence.

When I'm unloading made in China boxes, I always take extra care...

Taiwan Will Defend Differently Than Ukraine In Event Of Chinese Invasion: Expert

Between the Taliban outlasting the Americans in Afghanistan and the Ukrainians stumping the Russians, these "Great Power" folks aren't looking as unstoppable as they claim to be.

That will make it difficult to train effectively with those weapons. Surely one of the lessons from this month is that a poorly trained force is a less effective force.

America needs to arm Taiwan to the teeth and let China know about it. Don't assume Chinese leaders will always have the same attitude as Xi. Future leaders might be less prepared to pay a heavy price to ttake Taiwan.

    What a silly post.

America has long standing defence relationships & agreements with Taiwan. America has backed up Taiwan in the past and continues to do so. Mindlessly repeating political mantras will always lead you to the wrong conclusions.

Biden has done one of the best possible things a US President can to to contain China - he has worked hard on strengthening America's relationships with its regional allies. That greatly improves the chances of stopping a future invasion.

He has also shown that America is prepared to accept the economic consequences of sanctioning Russia. While sanctioning China would be harder, America's role in placing sanctions & encouraging others to tsanction Russia will give China pause for thought.

All of this is pretty obvious if you take off the political blinders.

They have been saying crap like that since the 40s. Its only now that you celebrate it due to partisan politics.

You mean one year of Biden and suddenly they seem emboldened. I would say nice try but that was lame. Biden has been president for 14 months. When are you going to stop blaming everything on Trump?

This is the same China we are not allowed to criticize without being called racist right?

You're acting as though the Russian invasion is a success. They are in deep sh*t and the entire world, including America, is strangling the rooster at the neck. China is far more reliant on foreign exports then Russia and can I see what its fate will be if it tries to take Taiwan (which would be for purely political gain, btw).

No they’re not. Russia is not struggling. It hasn’t even been a month yet. Russia will take Kiev and Ukraine will fall. Then Russia will go after Moldova

By all means don't let me disturb your little bubble.

With very minimal Western intervention Ukraine is doing pretty well. Russia doesn't have the military capability to do much more than barely hold Ukraine.

Yes, they could get nasty and destroy Kiev into rubble. But Russia is then destroyed in the process. This is not a model that China can follow.

It wasn't just 'lefties' who fired Trumps idiotic ass. It was independents, such as myself.

I love how the pseudo-conservatives pretend to care about the US after spending 4 years humping Putin's leg

Bro you’re not an independent. Show me one post from you in regards to policy you’ve supported that is conservative in nature that didn’t originate from a democrat.

And nobody was humping Putin’s leg. Trump sanctioned Russia 50+ Times.

It’s not a bubble. It’s war. It took 3 weeks for the US to invade Iraq and get into Baghdad and pull down that statue of saddam. And our military is exponentially more powerful than Iraq’s was in comparison to Russia and Ukraine.

It took over a month for Hitler to win a decisive battle in Poland after he invaded. War objectives do not get taken immediately. It takes at least a few weeks to over a month even if you completely dominate the other military.

    There’s three reasons for this.

Logistics first and foremost dictate that moving a massive amount of manpower and weaponry including all the supplies to sustain it takes time.

Second, in the very early stages of a military conquest, the defending country ALWAYS has high morale because they’re defending their homeland. But as battles are lost, that morale plummets quickly.

And last because the defenders put up tacit resistance to slow you down as you try to get to your first objective. They put up resistance as they fall back to more defensible positions and where they’re more concentrated so they can put up a better fight.

But once that first objective of a first large city falls, it will begin to cascade because their ability to slow your advance decreases drastically and you’re more capable of sustaining an attack because you’ve moved all your supplies into place.

I am very independent, and its proven by every post I have made about gun rights, abortion, foreign policy, free markets, the Fed, private property rights, freedom of press, local control vs centralized control etc.

You think everyone who calls out your political leaders for being fake must be "leftist", but in doing that you only reveal your own true colors, which is founded 100% on "follow the leader" rather than own views. You are a prime example of a populist pseudo-conservative whose wrapped up around political leaders (people). I was amazed to see how many people who called themselves conservative were willing to abandon their principles to follow a political figure.

Really? Awesome let’s just verify that.

Should there be any restrictions on firearms?

Should abortion outside of rape and incest or physical safety of the mother be allowed?

I support citizens right to carry firearms, as you can see from my comments on gun related threads. I own quite a few firearms myself. Removing ALL and EVERY restriction is not a conservative stance, and not even NRA proposes that. It may be your personal stance, but not shared with many others. Not even Ron Paul wanted that (voted for Paul on multiple occasions).

I am pro-life, and the issue of abortion should be left to the States to decide, as you can see from my comments regarding the TX abortion laws. I would vote to ban abortion in my State.
