Why are constantly pointing the finger at a clown who drops the ball? Shouldn't we be concentrating on the real issues that the clowns ARE dropping the balls, rather than on which clown is dropping the ball? Tax free threshold is not a Treasury matter, so not to know is forgivable, however to go off in deceit for not knowing is a different matter.
I think you've nailed it here. Bowen just needed to admit he friggin didn't know or it eluded him.
