They were divided “When Saddam Hussein banished Ayatollah Khomeini from Iraq in 1978,” and centuries before airplanes were invented:

    Air France is so nice.

“It is time to turn the page. When I am President, we will wage the war that has to be won, with a comprehensive strategy with five elements: getting out of Iraq and on to the right battlefield in Afghanistan and Pakistan; developing the capabilities and partnerships we need to take out the terrorists and the world’s most deadly weapons; engaging the world to dry up support for terror and extremism; restoring our values; and securing a more resilient homeland.” (Remarks of Senator Barack Obama The War We Need to Win Wednesday, August 1, 2007)
    http://www.wilsoncenter.org/events/docs/obamasp0807.pdf

The right battlefield was right there in the center, Obama removed us from the center of it all, totally ignoring why it was the center and main focus of Al Quacka in both the 1996 and 1998 fatwas of war; absolutely nothing we were doing in Afghanistan and Pakistan was listed in the fatwas of war, that was simply a harbor.

We notice Mr. "Tingly Leg" didn't have either one of them IN FRONT OF HIM, did he? Why? Matthews is a LOUD MOUTHED LEFTIST CANDYASS, is why?

GW Bush would slap the punk's face around the back of his empty head, were he now such a gentlemen.

Iraq was NOT OVER RUN BY AL QAEDA, when GW Bush left office. OWN IT.

Add "The Fall ogf Iraq" to Obama's ENDLESS LIST of FOREIGN POLICY CATASTROPHES.

When Bush left office in January of 2009, Iraq was stable. In September of 2009, Obama closed down Camp Bucca and released ALL prisoners. In 2011, Obama withdrew ALL troops from Iraq. One of the prisoners released from Camp Bucca prison in September of 2009 is now the leader of the ISIS terrorist group causing all the mayhem in Iraq today. Chrissy "Mr. Tingles" Matthews needs his head examined.

“I am for formal declarations of war when ever a country is attacked, as in the kind of attack I would require, so that is why I demand a declaration of war against Afghanistan. I am against stopping the war until the enemy no longer exists, and I am for making a stable country where we fight, even if we must keep some of their territory forever.” (September 11, 2001 08:39 PM)

That was my suggestion for Iraq too, as was so stated in an email to the White House, a base we could continue to operate from. I called it the Big Mac Attack prior to 2004 when the message board I was on shut down; maintaining that center (bun) to deal with Syria (meat) and Iran (meat) and Israel/Palestinian conflict (bun), and Afghanistan (bun)…

    Obama has no strategy.

How is it in worst shape when the shape of someone's corporation wasn't his to fix to begin with? Get the picture? The CEO who shouldn't have been the CEO to start with, but who created a problem that the CEO invented, was then patched up the best it could by the successor CEO, who shouldn't have been fixing the mess the first CEO started, but had no other choice.

And ALL OF CONGRESS who agreed to attack, because Bush actually needed their approval. Forget about that? They all wanted to go in. Its not like Obama who starts conflicts without written approval.

Let's blame Kennedy for the resurgence of Russia and Crimea. Let's blame Truman for Korea if the pull out the 30K troops and the North takes over. Let's blame the Vietnam loss on Kennedy as well.

This is idiocy. Barack Obama and Joe Biden spoke of how Iraq was a great accomplishment of their Administration before the fall.

It's time for the Liberal revisionist history machine to kick in.

"No, I didn't. Honest... I ran out of gas. I... I had a flat tire. I didn't have enough money for cab fare. My tux didn't come back from the cleaners. An old friend came in from out of town. Someone stole my car. There was an earthquake. A terrible flood. Locusts! IT WAS BUSH'S FAULT, I SWEAR TO GOD!" - Obama

I always wondered who watched Chris Mathews. It's Cpicturetaker. Sadly, he also thinks what he's hearing if facts. Chris Mathews is a propagandist and never speaks facts. It's against his nature. And, Cpicturetaker, the last time I checked, President Obama had been attacking America for 5.5 years. The chickens are coming home to roost.

I realize you'd like to forget President Obama but he still have time and his pen and his phone to pursue his dictatorship.

    Obama’s Failure in Iraq

In last Monday night’s (10/22/12) presidential debate at Lynn College in Boca Raton, FL, foreign policy was the topic, and as in previous debates and numerous speeches, President Barack Hussein Obama hailed as a victory his decision to withdraw U.S. troops from Iraq. Republican challenger Mitt Romney, for his part, failed to capitalize (intentionally or not) on the disaster that has become American policy in Iraq.

Operation Iraqi Freedom began in 2003. An agreement signed by Iraq and the U.S. during the Bush administration called for the complete withdrawal of all U.S. troops by Dec. 31, 2011, however, the document left the door open for further talks that could have postponed the end date. The Iraq war cost the American taxpayer $806 billion according to the Congressional Research Service, and 4287 American lives (as of December 2009). President Obama withdrew the last of our U.S. troops from Iraq in December 2011. (The only U.S. military presence left in Iraq were 157 soldiers responsible for training at the U.S. embassy, as well as a small contingent of marines protecting the diplomatic mission.)

Bush and Cheney left a stable Iraq to Obama.

It's like leaving a game as a pitcher with a 5 run lead.

When the bullpen blows the lead, the starting pitcher doesn't pick up the loss.

Well, obviously...... but I really think the tingle is seriously spreading.

I have to say..... you'd think a heterosexual man would feel like a fool admitting publicly on nat'l tv that another man makes his leg tingle when he speaks...... barf......

LOL. No. It means that you build upon the acts of the previous President. It means you really have to take the job seriously. Something this fool has never done.

Just as they were in Vietnam. These thugs who are taking over are brutally killing Iraqis. The death count will be on par with some of the most brutal dictators of the 20th century.

Twenty or thirty years ago, Chris Matthews was a serious and thoughtful journalist. He was always a liberal, but he was a principled liberal back in the 70's and 80's. Somewhere along the line he morphed into a partisan hack. That happened long before he got the famous tingle up his leg.

MSNBC is the perfect place for that idiot to spew his venom. There he can preach to the choir all day every day and be ignored.

The only thing he shred with his inane ranting is logic.

Sorry I missed Matthews spitting all over the cameraman. Well not really, I was watching Daffy Duck instead. More intellectual and dryer too.
