I have it on good authority he has no desire to carry Obama's jock. I have no doubt someone as arrogant as Obama would expect someone to carry it for him though.

For me it was the Supreme Court, and like the ICC (Rome Treaty) setting us up for politically motivated prosecutions, that was okay with Clinton and Kerry, all those other courts.

The problem is, if you remember the 213 to 213 vote where McKinney and Barr filed suit over the War Powers violations of Clinton, the case was lost because Congress funded the air war, in this case the Supreme Court will reject the emergency because Congress deliberately did not fund it. It doesn't really matter that Trump put them on notice, all that matters is, Congress deliberately didn't fund it knowing that they could have funded it. Can the president impound funds for a national emergency on budget deficit? NO, Congress wants it! I predict he will lose in the Supreme Court.

Deport every fracking illegal, by the millions, but Congress won't do it, and Trump can't do it; the wall is worthless with regard to immigration without that mass deportation. Democrats have finally embraced what we always knew they were, Commies and Socialists:

May 1, 1935: "To the extent necessary to carry out the provisions of this Executive Order the Administrator is authorized to acquire, by purchase or by the power of eminent domain, any real property or any interest therein and improve, develop, grant, sell, lease (with · or 'without the privilege of purchasing), or otherwise dispose of any such property or interest therein."

My father (12) lived in the barn of one of the ones given a farm by FDR. He took me there in the 70's and I saw the picture of FDR over the mantle, my father warned me not to say anything negative about that shrine.

Nah some on fox are horrible ( Sean “I do karate” Hannity, Gutfield) but Fox has real journalists too ( Wallace, Brett Baier, Shep Smith). They’re not the boogeyman people like to fear monger they are.

I am not one of the demigods on the high court so I know as little about their final decision as you do

But I suspect you are wrong

Congress gave the president the power to declare a national emergency

So he is acting within his authority

But that all depends on which side of the bed roberts wakes up on when the case reaches the supreme court

Declaring a national emergency because of caravan invasions, issues that cannot admit delay, is one thing, any State along the border could stop them (if they wanted), the devil is in the wording of his statements, if because Congress refuses to act when it had the issues before it, he loses. Best to be ready for it, have barf bags in supply.

At least, if the coup ("insurance policy") doesn't work, it will be clear in the next presidential election.

How many illegals illegally cross the southern border on a monthly or annual basis.basis? How about drugs? How many can cross illegally before it's considered a problem?

A wall has been discussed for years, a wall supported by Democrats in the past, but nothing has been done about it. They now don't want a wall because it would complete a campaign promise by Trump.

Get your information from those responsible, who work on the border, the ones who keep the stats, and you'll understand better what's going on.

If congress wishes to act - either to help trump defend the border or assist the illegal alien invasion - they have the power to do so

    Except that they don't.

    https://www.nytimes.com/2018/03/22/...-wall-immigration-trump-senate-democrats.html

Officials at Customs and Border Protection called the report inaccurate, saying it confused how agents’ feedback about security vulnerabilities is used to develop programs to counter threats.

The documents show that the Border Patrol identified what it called 902 “capability gaps,” or vulnerabilities, on the Southwest border. The word “wall” was suggested as a possible solution for just three of those gaps.

Agents mentioned a “fence” or “fencing” as a possible solution 34 times — less than 4 percent of the 902 vulnerabilities identified, the report found.

A wall will do nothing for the drug issue — they use boats, tunnels, drones and catapults to vault over the barrier. People are a little easier to deter with a wall considering it is both tall enough and travels enough distance but seeing that 2/3’s of illegal immigration is visa overstays with quite a bit of the remainder being checkpoint crossings.

Until we have programs that make living here difficult they will keep coming.

So, like Nancy Pelosi, you're caught up in the semantics of using the term 'wall, 'fence', 'barrier', 'capability gaps', etc.

It has really come to this, where more words are now verboten and the debate grinds down to what we may and may call a wall, barrier, etc. Leftists, always a pathetic lot, have become even more so.

Or perhaps different problems can be handled in different ways. Would you argue that it's useless to stop visa overstays because people will then just cross the southern border or use boats? This argument that it's useless to plug the southern border because they'll just come another way is a sure way to lose the debate.

No. I'm listening to what border agents believe are important. And Bonespurs' vanity wall wasn't terribly important to them.
