It thrilled the inmates, but Putin decided that he better switch to a Russian elder for a spiritual father. Putin is held though in high regard at Mount Athos. When he visited a few years back they gave him the throne of the Byzantine Empire - no doubt to the chagrin of the Greek president who was standing next to him. Well what did the Greek president expect, they're all a bunch of atheists.

Case in point of the problem with organized religion. Don't get me wrong, religion is wonderful when it used used purely for its spiritual aspects, but it is far too easy for it to be hijacked by those seeking power in worldly affairs. I am a very spiritual person, love the teachings of Jesus and other spiritual beings, but will never be part of any organized religion again. I've seen too many times what it can do when it is abused.
It's a matter of discernment. Vladimir Putin is following the mandate given to Russia. He is not only the saviour of Holy Rus, but also of the world by destroying the liberal new world order and the precursor to the One World government and the Antichrist. As for Europe, well things are not looking well for them. Finland and Sweden are signing their own death warrant as will be others along the line. But then again when you make Baphomet your god as they did at Cern, it's to be expected.
