Have you ever worked for a business whose products were made obsolete overnight? I've seen it happen. It was a paper bag company that made almost all of its money out of supermarket bags. It lost most of its business when plastic supermarket bags were introduced. It's response? It tried to make plastic supermarket bags illegal. It argued that paper bags were environmentally sounder and that plastic bags created a terrible litter problem. Now lets talk about the Catholic Church. It's "product"? Forgiveness of sin. Where does most human sin come from? Sexual infidelity. What is the evidence of infidelity? Pregnancy and babies. Now you understand why the Church opposes both contraception and abortion. Now you know why they don't want stem cell research. Now you know why curiosity was a sin in the middle ages, Now you know why the Catholic Church has been against every single medical advance in the last Three hundred years. They sell a product that is based on human misery. No misery, then there is no need for the Church and its "Product".
