Covid vaccine has a pretty high rate of protection and immunity to the disease. The problem is that the vaccine isn’t as good as the variants. Even then, works pretty well.

Polio was the reason for the mandates. Small Pox was the reason for the mandates. Whooping Cough was the reason for the mandates. Every disease the world has managed to kill off or make obscure is the reason for the mandates. The history of vaccination is the reason for the mandates because we know vaccines work.
