CNN threatens Russian reporter

John Tyler's coverage of Libya has me dumbfounded. I was watching BBC yesterday and they were broadcasting from Green Square (now renamed Martyr Square) and there was nary a Qadaffi loyalist to be found, but there were plenty of celebrating rebels. It is pretty obvious, selecting from a large number of media sources, that only a few pockets of pro-Qadaffi forces remain in Tripoli and in fact some of the fighting has shifted to Qadaffi's home town of Sirte.

I guess this definitely proves that PrisonPlanet and any mainstream Russian media entity is an unreliable source of news. At least JT's fantastical posts about Libya have been good for something.

 

The intra tribal civil wars are none of our business. I don't take any side but when our President brings us into a war on false pretenses and lies and engages our taxdollars and military in genocide, it is my responsibility as a citizen to speak out, when our media outlets broadcast lies and propaganda I point it out.

When the UN invades my country I will fight.

 

The bombing is still going on. you don't bomb a defeated enemy. Latest targets include a fire station. Yes there are celebrating Rebels all over but with 24 hour per day bombing and foreign insurgents backed by NATO you would expect the invaders to control a lot of Tripoli
