I can tell you this. You never wore ANY uniform in the service of this country or others. Pretty obvious with your global world get with it or fail. You never took an oath of service to this country so stop the steeling valor comments.

I did serve my country. Helicopter pilot, 2nd Battalion 1st Aviation brigade, US Army. My father was Air Force, my brother was Navy, and my grandfather fought in WW2 and Korea and at 92 years old he was the grand Marshall of our towns ceremonies today. You can stop the whining about who are cowards and who isn't because its more than obvious where you stand.

If I planed to be mean or unfair to McCain, I would ask, why would songbird McCain need a presidential pardon? (Which he received) You know why I don't say that. Because I wasn't there and I have no clue what the man went through. As far as I am concerned he served his country, was captured and served many horrible years in the custody of one of our worst enemy's when it came to prisoner treatment.

During the Vietnam war, Trump received 5 deferments during Vietnam. 4 of which he received for education as college academics with a certain grade point average were always deferred for military service. Another deferment he received was a 1-Y medical deferment for bone spurs which is common. Flat feet is another one. People with that condition become liabilities on the battlefield. If you ever bivouacked hiking 30 miles in full packs to participate in a Vietnam simulation for 3 days (Pargon Trial) then walked back you would know within the first 5 miles who would collapse from foot disorders.

For the same reasons I don't follow the pack on McCain's service are the same reasons I don't fault Trump for dodging that bullet. I don't like McCain at all but I respect the man for what he gave up for his country. Asmuch as I respect Trump for giving up his cushy life to be berated 24/7 to do what he thinks is best for this country. His values about this country today are no different than they were when he was being interviewed in the 90s.

I will tell you something else you probably don't know about Marine service to the White House. My brother in law was a crew chief on Marine One during the Reagan administration. He ferried Princes Diana, Bush, Reagan, Guandi, and a host of other world leaders. When he was there you had a huge list of Marines volunteering for WH service. The list was about 5-9 thousand to be selected for service.

When Obama started his second year there were no Marine volunteers and they were selected. When Trump won the Presidency that list was over 30,000.

So I am not one to punish McCain for his presidential pardon any more than I am willing to punish Trump for deferment.

I didn't say either one. McCain did receive a presidential pardon or were you unaware of that fact and I never stated how Trump accomplished his academic credits but its damn sure you don't know.

McCain was forced to put out 33 anti american recorded tapes in return for medical treatment of two broken arms and a broken leg. He was tortured relentlessly to get his confessions and those tapes were aired to American solders. Other prisoners fell to the same treatments. When they returned home they knew they were guilty of war crimes but under extreme conditions. Even today that has changed to protect the treatment of American solders as they are allowed to promote anti American rhetoric to keep them healthy.

McCain and the other 32 prisoners who returned were pardoned by Nixon as a group so as not to classify them as guilty of war crimes. If you want to believe your Liberal news resources you will find McCain guilty of the USS Forrestal Fire claiming McCain started the fire by hot starting his jet as a joke. The real truth is a jet behind his actually launched a rocket which hit McCains aircraft. McCain had nothing to do with it.

If you can't get over the childish name calling how do you expect anyone to ever take you seriously. If you think you are impressing anyone by making stuff up to support your warped theories you are only adding to the notion that being Liberal is actually a mental condition and Trump derangement syndrome is just eating you alive.

 

Except none of this ever happened, based mostly on the fact that there is 0 evidence, and it only comes from a couple right wing hate mongers. Sure, he made a couple tapes, I could get you to make them with my fingernail.

On the other hand, there is also 0 evidence of trump ever doing anything for anyone but himself while there is a mountain of evidence of him lying nonstop for himself. He dodged the draft, pure and simple.

The President called on another reporter and Acosta refused to give up the mic the wrestled with the young woman whose job ot was to pass the mic to the next reporter the President had called on.

Well a big hello right back at cha brother. Wow, That 53 is a beast. I suspect you are a bit older than I am. I was a hs to flight school guy in 79. I wouldn't enlist without a guarantee so I wound up taking the FAST and ASVAB 3 times before I was selected so it took me about a year and a half to get in. Even though I was aceing the test and the officer interviews they were taking enlisted over civilians so it took some time.

While I waiting I was training in a Bell 47 4 cylinder recep. That didn't last long because we sucked a valve and had a hard landing with a tail strike so it was out of commission

Went to WOC school, Leadership reaction, and primary flight at Rucker in 81-82. Long story short I wound up back at Ft. Rucker for a 60 transition in Sept of 84 and they grounded the fleet due to rotor blade separation. The aircraft earned the name Bus Hawk after it hit a school bus in Germany. That took about a year so we all sat around flying sims as they wouldn't allow us to pick another aircraft during training. So for temp Flt duty they had us back in the UH-1B models flying jumpers for practice. What a duty.


Finally made it to Ft. Dix and spent some time at Lawson Army Airfield at Ft Benning and left the service in 86. I was scheduled for Germany if I re-uped but I was newly married with a kid on the way and I already had civilian offers so I departed. I do miss it though. I really should have stayed.

Since you were Air Force did you ever run across a buddy of mine. He was in about the same time as you were as a door gunner. David Collins. His son is a 407 pilot for Charlotte Police Dept.

My Dad was a navigator in KC-135s and we were stationed at McCoy AFB until he retired. His was the first graduating class of the AF Academy in 59. He retired Lt. Col.

Overlooking the fact that I am clueless as to what the Scottish Football Association has to do with anything, I don't understand why anyone would cheer such a waste of taxpayer money.

 

Where does the Constitution say Jim Acosta has a constitutional right to have a hard pass and debate and argue with the President and take control of a press conference by refusing to relinquish the microphone? Pay a lawyer some money and he'll file any lawsuit you want including one that is a political stunt.

 

CNN is wasting taxpayer dollars.
