I was prepared, as biased as I am, to give them some time to see how they went before starting a thread like this. It hasn't been long and already our federal government seems to have the wobbles.. Are you confident they will be re-elected?
The ALP/Greens/Independants left the country in a massive mess. Another Government cannot fix this 6 year incompetent mess overnight. If anyone votes the ALP into power again after what they did, then they deserve everything they get.
Haha, already looking for excuses? In no time Abbotts *deaf, dumb and blind* government will create more debt then Labor before. The problem we have is a slowing down mining boom, many local manufactures closed or to be closed, trailing behind the worlds best in state od the art products, and an education system in tatters. Unfortunately I cannot see Tone Abbotts changing that. Your excuses sound stupid, sorry mate. Regards
How is it stupid by saying that the current Government inherited massive debt from the previous government, and incompetent policies, and you expect the current government to fix all these problem which occurred over a six year term overnight? Have you been drinking with DV this morning?
Diuretic you probably need to qualify what you deem the wobbles. If I were to give them a mark out of 10 for their performance thus far. To be fair it would be only a 5. I think they are talking crap about boat arrivals. By that I mean they are glossing over the fact that at this time of the year it is usually slow to non existent because of weather conditions. So they may crow over no arrivals, but in truth that is not abnormal for this time of the season. I get the absolute irits listening to Abbott speak. If he were in grade 8 at school he would be sent to a speech therapist. It is purely poor oratory skill, lucky that does not seem to be a pre requesite for office. By the way Shorten is a sh!thouse speaker as well with teeth that look like he just chewed a terd. All these stupid bonus ideas for families.... Give me a break. We really do need to invest more in our leadership candidates. Both lots are morons, it is that simple, no argument please, because if you can not see this you are as big a moron as them. Put the bloody GST up and be done with it. We are fast out growing our ability to earn revenue to pay for stupid ideas, and all the while our poor are getting poorer and our income driving middle class are under immense pressure to raise enough revenue to pay for our government services. Put it up and increase the standard of living for both classes. Have some balls to make a tough decision, for Christ sake. Tell the media they have to shape up and put some ethics into their industry. Do not feel sorry for Aunty one little bit, they brought it on themselves. I expect it from the other rodent nests, but as biased as the ABC are toward the left they still had some scrupples. Obviously not any more. In my mind the media have over taken solicitors and banks on the most untrustworthy list of occupations. Still a massive way to go to get to drug dealers, pedophiles, and politicians. Would the other mob led by Trash Teeth do any better. Doubt it. They had their opportunity and stuffed it. In fact they had two chances and didn't improve..... In fact they got worse. 5 out of 10 and that is being kind because it appears that our PM has some form of disability, with his vocabulary. We must be a little forgiving to the impaired. Sack them all, and give the job to the Wiggles, they rarely upset anyone. And they're colourful. Hot potato, hot patato.......
You have hit the nail squarly on the head. The same old clowns with different painted faces in the same old circus get voted in every three years, and the people keep voting them in, and wonder why the country is in a mess. If we sacked the 300 politicians from Canberra & others from State and local Governments, and took away all their current privileges, and privileges from retired politicians; the country would probably save $50 billion right there. These scum-bages have been leaching off the tax payers for far too long. The debate is on welfare for the poor members of society, and retired ex-politicians like Rudd & Gillard are allowed unrestricted and unregulated $600,000 yearly tax payer funded pensions for life. Plus they can enter into full time employment earning $millions per year, which doesn't effect their $600,000 public paid pensions. Then these same politicians say we have to make life harder for the people who getting $18000 per year pensions. What a bloody joke. Who exactly is sponging and bludging of Australia's welfare system again? To me it looks like scum-bag ex-politicians, who don't need these tax payer funded lifetime pensions, and not the people who need it the most.
I do, nothing like a dozen cold heavies while languishing in the spa and whatching the cricket or footy on the tv hung up on the wall. Just a nuisance having to get out and run around behind shrubbery for a leak every 40 mins or so. Bloody rain can spoil things too but then that depends on how many empty tinnies have gone in the bin.
Not that long ago, while still in opposition, the now Abbott's government accused Mrs.Gillard of running our country in a similar way, as the Greek government did/does. Now in power, the Abbott's government appears to do exactly like Greece, privatising (selling off) Australian owned (state owned)companies. What gives Mr.Abbotts and Mr.Hockey the right in doing so? Not that such an action can only be seen as a quick fix, it is the cheapest way to gain some short term money. The core problems however won't be fixed, nor addressed. What a disappointment the Coalition turns out to be...... Regards
Got something to show what you’re talking about??? or is this simply a rant of nothing??? What a surprise??? You are disappointed about a government you have been running around condemning from the day of the election... Sour grapes mixed with pretense of unbiased opinion... I think we all have to laugh at that…
Garry, you must be living in 1852..... http://www.smh.com.au/federal-polit...vernment-on-privatisation-20140108-30hk7.html Oh boy oh boy..... Regards
Yep, trying the old Howard tactic of selling assets and pretending to pull Australia out of the sh!t! Australia cannot afford to live through this type of self interested political party politicking again! What is more concerning is that the coalition never have long term plans and investments that build our nation, so any sales will be an absolute waste to Australia!
Isn't that interesting??? Perhaps you could point to one comment that states that the Coalition is going to sell anything off??? No??? Is that because Nobody has actually said they are selling anything??? Again here we see nothing but pure speculation of comments made by everybody BUT the people who are looking at this policy. You simply wish to score some point over a government that "disappoints" you... No let’s put it in real terms: a government YOU hate. So basically you are complaining about something of your own making, Nothing unusual there I guess. BUT I will give you this much of your complaint, regardless of cost and supposed benefit for the people, Government should not be selling anything off. So when something comes up about the short sighted issue of selling government assets and not simply you wish to make complaints out of what others think, then come back and complain, but until then it only smacks of sour grapes. The fact you post this as policy that is going to happen, is demonstration of the deception you are trying to make out of this issue. So your attempt at insult is incredible, you obviously see the flaw in your logic. So as far as living in the past, I am just glad you have your crystal ball out and telling the world what the Coalition are going to do, because clearly it failed with the ALP/Greens
At first it seemed to me that this was going to be a do-nothing government. You know how it goes, take the hands off the levers of the economy and let the market sort everything out. Then I thought it was going to be incompetent, its fumbling of foreign affairs signalled that. Now I'm thinking they've been pulled up by their masters and ideology is now going to get a workout. The attacks on SPC-Ardmona working conditions which turned out to be lies, the favours given to other companies above SPC-Ardmona (eg Cadbury) to bolster electoral chances and the rumbling about IR in general suggest to me that ideology is indeed the latest driver. They've got a while to go before the fed election though. Plenty of time to confirm my suspicion that this is a one-term government.
