Brand new FBI director, same old corruption. FBI director Christopher Wray was caught using on of lyin' spyin' Jim Comey's patented "weasel moves" yesterday. ::(: This is a BIG story, so naturally MSM won't touch it. In the midst of ongoing investigations into FBI / FISA abuse being led by the (R) Senate, the OIG, and US AG Bill Barr himself, director Wray got caught trying to conceal key evidence from ALL the aforementioned investigators. Right on the heel's of his own testimony wherein Wray stated "I don't think I personally have any evidence of that sort" our new dirty director gets caught burying evidence EXACTLY of that SORT. Comey's FBI swamp is is an eco-disaster. It's so toxic it can consume a man's soul almost on contact. Wray's been infected by Comey's "Higher Loyatly" to the FBI spy syndicate. :heartbreaker: https://thehill.com/opinion/white-h...confession-informant-needed-to-air-trump-dirt Is Comey's FBI so corrupt, and politicized that it's beyond salvage?

One member of Congress transmitted the memos this week to the Department of Justice’s inspector general, fearing its investigation of FISA abuses may not have had access to them.

Nonetheless, the FBI is doing its best to keep much of Kavalec’s information secret by retroactively claiming it is classified, even though it was originally marked unclassified in 2016.

It makes one wonder if this is in Mueller's underlying workpapers that is either redacted or hidden from the report Nadler's trying to get his hands on....................to do damage assessment and help build a defense on the coming arrmageddon begun by Barr and Horowitz.

Not trying to defend Wray here. However, he may find himself in a very difficult position where this continuous outflow of bad press is effecting his organization negatively enough that he might feel himself required to try to shield them from further disclosures. It makes sense, and it allows external oversight to then be the bad guys here, which then makes him at least somewhat look loyal to his staff org, etc.

I dunno. Cops are going to cop. They religiously cover their compadres asses when they get in a sling, instead of upholding the law. The brethren of The Shield, a fraternity so to speak. Serpico wasn't just a movie, it was a real thing. The hammer MUST come from Horowitz. Wray's not throwing anyone under the bus, deserved or not.

Fair enough. Again, I wasn't trying to defend Wray, just express the possibility. I also would say that I find this necessary, and the organizational corruption within the FBI needs to be addressed.

I said early on that Chris Wray seemed more intent on restoring the FBI's public image, than restoring the FBI's integrity. He's a PR man, and that could have been a productive component of agency reforms. Had Wray brought the IG up to speed and taken care of this "in house", I wouldn't have reason any reason to bash him. But to try and put this under seal for 20 yrs.? If the OIG doesn't suspend Wray, while it examines everthing else the FBI has sealed since Wray was appointed, Barr is going to have to assign special counsel.

Oh, I'm not defending him either. It's distasteful as hell. But it's understandable. The FBI has a big black eye which will tarnish it for years, and somehow Wray has to right the ship. I don't agree with the way he's doing it though. He may in fact be cooperating with Horowitz while speaking out of the corner of his mouth, giving himself plausible deniability. I think that's the same context you just stated.

I tend to agree here. The IG really needs to be allowed to root this garbage out. Until they are allowed to do so, the public are justified in not trusting that the FBI are acting in the public interest.
