It's not a purportion, FOX just does more of it and better and more balanced about it.

Faux is so "balanced" that they forced Megan Kelly to take a vacation:

Fox News Most Likely Forced Megyn Kelly Off Air For 10 Days Over Trump Controversy

Anyone who’s been following the news the last couple of weeks is probably well aware of the Donald Trump vs. Megyn Kelly fiasco that started at the first GOP debate when she dared to ask the GOP presidential candidate questions pertaining to factual information about his past. Now to be fair, it did seem as if Fox News was specifically targeting Trump while hoping that it might hurt his growing momentum – but what transpired in the days following the debate was basically a pathetic circus sideshow. Trump made several derogatory remarks about Kelly – yet still managed to see his poll numbers continue to rise. Meanwhile, Kelly admitted to receiving death threats from some of Trump’s supporters. Well, in a fairly surprising announcement, Kelly abruptly announced that she would be going on a 10-day vacation from Fox News. “It’s been an interesting week and a long six months without a vacation for yours truly,” Kelly said. Her announcement definitely caused some to wonder if this fairly sudden vacation – in the midst of a fairly heated back and forth between Trump, Kelly and Fox News – was more or less forced upon her with the network hoping that her absence will make the story go away. Yesterday, Mediaite received a response from a spokesman for Fox News: The conspiracy theories about Megyn Kelly’s vacation rank up there with UFO’s, the moon landing and Elvis being alive. Megyn is on a pre-planned, annual summer vacation with her family, which is much deserved. To imply otherwise as Donald Trump and his campaign operatives have is not only wildly irresponsible, but downright bizarre. Perhaps Mr. Trump thinks it’s advantageous to his poll numbers to keep talking about Megyn, but that doesn’t change the fact that Roger Ailes has fully supported her and her tough journalistic questioning since day one and is thrilled with the added exposure from the debate which resulted in even higher ratings of The Kelly File this week. Anyone who knows Roger is aware of how historically and consistently loyal he is to all of his talent and how he protects them at all costs. As Governor Terry Branstad said today, ‘when you’re a candidate, you’ve got to basically answer the questions. You can’t just attack the person asking the questions. That doesn’t work.’

I’m sorry, but Kelly’s remarks when she announced her vacation didn’t sound like someone who had planned taking 10 days off ahead of time. But even beyond that, that’s a very defensive (and borderline hostile) response regarding a situation that many people think is highly suspicious. The whole response just reeks of typical Fox News over-the-top rhetoric trying to deflect from the fact that Kelly’s vacation does (at least to logical people) seem quite “timely” for a network personality who’s been at the center of a fairly heated political controversy concerning the current Republican frontrunner for president. Though I would like to point out another fact: Bill O’Reilly is currently on vacation. You don’t often see a major news network allow two of its most popular primetime personalities to take vacations at the same time. So even beyond the response from Fox News, it just seems highly unlikely that the network would allow both Kelly and O’Reilly to be off the air at the same time with so much going on right now. Will we ever know the truth? Probably not. But considering all the circumstances, combined with the fairly hostile nature of the response given concerning her vacation, it’s a good possibility that Megyn Kelly’s abrupt vacation is directly related to the recent controversy surrounding her and Donald Trump.

I don't mind Fox as a "news" source. It's more or less equal to the others. It's when you start comparing it as a "commentary" source that Fox turns to snot.

Even then, Megyn Kelly has been sent on a re-education sabbatical for asking Trump some questions he didn't like. Notice Hannity and O'Reilly (the clown princes) knew better.

I'll take Sean Hannity's America over Rachel Madcow's freak show anyday.

Someone missed the fact that both MSNBC and FOX have news and commentary. One must live in a fantasy bubble.

That is normally the case for liberal outlets that have always had trouble either getting off the ground or keeping viewers. I have an opinion why but that does not mean my opinion is correct.

As far as cable is concerned, all are losing viewers as people abandon cable for streaming online like Netflix and they are losing big. The paradigm is shifting. I cut the cable last month myself.

OH geez and here again the limited view of news media as if Limbraugh was the beginning and end. He has been on the air now what 30 years? And LOTS more competition since his first 10 years. And he still limits it to AM radio and maybe a few FM now. Want to know how much time I spend on broadcast radio while I am traveling everyweek visiting customers? ZERO, I stream or use sat radio. Haven't listened to Limbaugh on any regular basis, can't even remember the last time, in 20 years.

Fox and MSNBC are two sides of the same coin.

Each employs the same communication tactics although I believe fox does a much better job of catering to their main demographic than MSNBC does. there's both whackos and intelligent and thoughtful people on both. Both are masters at misrepresentation and injecting opinion into what should be straight reportage of the news.

As a business, Fox is far superior to MSNBC in its operation, and that is just a fact.
As an unbiased news source, its moot since in the end its all about personal bias and opinion since the same tactics are employed by both.

Much happens in two years, like Murdock selling out. Can't see any real difference except MSNBC can make me want to puke faster whereas FOX just leaves one with a headache and a little nauseous from the idiots there.

Speaking of bias, there is no doubt which way this story is slanted. But I do have to agree on one point, there is no news on MSNBC just pure propaganda.

Government, the body politic investigating the the body politic and one expects the truth? Well that would be expectation of that which isn't and will never be.

I would have to agree with PaulDennis, it is all in the eye of the beholder as the old saying goes. But it really not as much in the eye as it is in the mind.

Personally I watch FOX in the mornings because they start earlier and stay later which means I can catch the weather forecast but ignore that sensationalized garbage they try to pass as news. Now I much prefer NBC as their weather forecast is much better but their news is about the same, same talking points, same slant.

But the issue really is those that can't separate the slant from the news and believing what they are told is gospel. If that isn't bad enough, the vast majority have no clue as to what isn't being told them.

Nice list but without a source it's just conjecture.

Boy they have you fooled, don't they. The only difference between MSNBC and FOX is the slant and even that is getting less and less. And it isn't MSNBC that is changing.

While your post does have a source it is still not much better than the other posters list. Yours is a Neilson estimate that advertisers use to pay for advertising time. If you follow the link to numbers it explains the averages and all other assumptions but they seem to not include the profile that would give the basis of the percentages used. That sample basis is the key to understanding the accuracy of the basis.

But the real moral of the story, to each his own and to those trying to say theirs is better is purely delusional, PaulDennis again is absolutely correct, it all to do with the beholder and which set of lies they prefer. What is really sad is the large part of the majority has no clue it is all lies what a camera can't show raw and uncut.

Because the real truth would be treason for all parties, executive, legislative and in all probability the judicial. Would need to completely fill the White House lawn with gallows and still would take months to complete all the justice.

Got you snowed too eh? Please show factual data that the numbers are based on or do you just accept that presented without reviewing the notes nor following the link explaining the numbers?

It would seem the 5th grader would be more likely to showing you the fallacy of your statement. Those figures would imply that the other quadzillion channels only have a 40% share among them. About as ridiculous as claiming FOX could ever capture 45% share on anything. Even the Superbowl only had an estimated 47.5 share.

That would be more honest that all those lawyers and political science majors. Indoctrination is not all it's notched up to be, an indoctrinated idiot is really much dumber than a bum that didn't finish high school, the only difference being how much butt they are willing to kiss to get ahead.

I once worked for a corporation wherein the president never completed high school. Oh did I mention this president was also a Senior Vice President and sat on the board of Motorola back in their heyday before they sold out and moved everything off-shore.

Really, so please show the differences. Are not all on cable? How many people still use antennas? If Network stations were removed from cable and they should be, what share would remain?

Your whole argument is slanted to ignore the obvious.

Interesting, why so? They are but opinions of two different people based on god knows what. To boot, one is two years out of date while the other is four, neither valid on the changes that have occurred since Selection 2016 has gotten under way.

Now what is silly would be to try and impose that the investigation is anything other than what it really is, a lot of noise to keep the unwashed masses occupied while that which really matters is happening right out in plain sight.

Neither side of this supposed opposition that works for the same master wants the truth to be known, it would mean the people would unite and create positive actions.

But the most hideous of your accusation was in the link wherein Hitlerly can ever be expected to tell the truth about anything. But then what does any of this have to do with whether Fox or MSNBC tells the biggest lies? That is outside Rancid Madcow.

I agree with Cavuto, pretending to be what one isn't does not change the DNA. If Bruce were really serious, he would have used the knife in private, it's nothing more than a big scheme that has netted how much?
